The City:Your Church Community

Push notifications don't work with Android 7.1.x. App feels more like a web wrapper than a native application, which is unacceptable for a service that churches pay good money for. Android material design is non-existent. This Android app feels like an afterthought. This app is also targeted at Android Lolipop (5.0), which is a couple of years old.

This app is not android friendly. It closes randomly and won't always fully open a post. Hopefully they'll hire someone to help make this user friendly for Android users.

Unfortunately the Android version of this is not as good as the iOS version - it can be quite clunky, unresponsive and confusing to use. Additionally recently the Push notifications have stopped working. It is a great idea and system, and is helpful for our church, but it appears the Android version doesn't have as much focus as the desktop or iOS app.

For some reason I stopped getting push notifications. I have my settings correct and have stopped the app and restarted but it doesn't work.

The developers have been very responsive to suggestions. The Android version got off to a rough start, but it is very much better now.

Crashes continuously. Especially if you click a post that has been deleted but still shows up as a link

More often than not it doesn't work. If I open a post that has an attachment there is an error and closes automatically.

Notifications do not work. That's kind of the point of this app for me, to stay in touch.

This app needs help. Very clunky, unintuitive navigation, push notifications have never worked for me across 2 different phones, making connections is difficult... It just needs work.

Our potential new church used this app, but I an uninstalling since it wants a ridiculous number of permissions.

App crashes constantly, push notifications don't work, and it constantly logs me out.

The link in the invitation email won't open the app or the browser, so I'm unable to use the city app at all.

Can't even log in. It says I have an invalid email address, but when I attempt to sign up it says my email address already exists. So I tried to use the help button and try to put that I couldn't remember my password. It asked me for my email address, so I entered it and it said it doesn't exist. Going in circles! Ugh. Frustrating!

It keeps crashing. You can't select anything without it crashing.

Unable to select literally anything in the app without the entire app crashing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled so many times I've lost count. It works fine on the computer, just not my phone.

Can't seem to stop auto rotate. Can't post pictures?! Without the ability to post pictures from my phone, I don't see the benefits of this over just using email.

The latest Android app is great! Although I'm wondering if it's possible to prevent the app from rotating on the screen when the phone is tipped sideways, even though the screen rotation is disabled. Cheers!

Slow. Hangs up. I can count on having issues. Needs much improvement.

The BEST means to stay connected to my church family and all that God calls us to do

This is the perfect way to keep in touch with my youth group and church! We do a lot of meet-ups and mission outings, so this works really well! The app is really easy to navigate, and runs very smoothly!

Unable to get giving section to operate properly. My account is locked up and will not make monthly distributions and will not allow me to delete account to start over.The Internet site is even worse.

Still trying to get around but, our administrator is holding classes to help the parishoners learn their way around!

My household loves technology, and we love our church but this app is not intuitive, makes it hard to find people's contacts and keeps resetting preferences.

Does not log in. Does not work. Fox this garbage please.

Please update for Android. IPhone has better usability. Pasted links don't work, videos never load. Posts aren't showing up. Can't upload images via app, so many features are missing. Only really good for alerts. Not usability.

This app doesn't remove trailing spaces from your username if you use an auto fill feature. That's annoying. Other than that app is ok. Doesn't blow my mind in any way. It's convenient.

I can get into it via the Internet but can't login to the app

I love the whole idea behind The City and the software itself. My only beef is that the app doesn't do as much as the Web program. I wish it would, but great software, guys...

Poor app, poor business model. A CMS (Church management system) that wants to be Facebook.

Set it up, went back on later, it said either email or password doesn't match. I requested password reset, I got the email and clicked the link, nothing! Called the 800 number, he said he reset. Still the same.

I don't remember my password so I put my email in and doesn't recognize it. I just turned my computer off, and need to respond in the City. If I remembered my password that be fine. I don't remember cause it auto login on comp and try to do the same here but never does..

Possibly the worst app I've ever used. It worked for a time on another phone, but I was logged out and unable to log back in. I gave up hope, attempting again once I had a new phone. On different attempts, I've tried to reset my password, once "successfully", but the app either crashed when loaded, at a login attempt, or at the password request screen several times. I still can't log in, and apparently I don't have an acvount, even though I did have one a few crashes ago.

A useful tool to keep in contact with your groups and friends.

Not a great app. It's very old design-wise, it's lacking a lit of features and it seems to crash a lot. But it does enough of what I need it to do so I'll keep it!
