InvestControl is a powerful portfolio manager which combines many features in a compact and friendly solution designed for investors who wish to keep track of their assets while on the go.
InvestControl goes far beyond simple stock watchers go and allows you to build portfolios with different types of investments, including stocks, bonds, foreign currencies and mutual funds, maintain records of prices and transactions, be alerted on price changes, relevant news and events, track goals and much more.

Features
★ Supports worldwide stocks, mutual funds and ETFs, bonds, stock options, cash accounts, indices, currency rates, real estate and generic investments.
★ Depending on asset type, prices can be obtained automatically from Yahoo! or Google Finance, entered manually or even extracted from web pages.
★ Transactions like buys, sales, transfers, dividend payments and taxes/fees can be entered manually or imported from CSV files. Monthly recurring transactions like regular deposits and fees can be scheduled.
★ Asset summaries include total buys/sales/dividends/fees, current value, realized gain/loss, annual return, average/break-even price, current yield/yield to maturity (bonds), ITM/OTM indicator (options), latest transactions and news, upcoming events etc.
★ Supports multiple portfolios with unlimited assets. A detailed graphical report is provided for each portfolio, including market value, total gains and losses, type/risk/institution allocation, liquidity, annual returns, monthly deposits and value projections. A summary view shows consolidated info from all portfolios.
★ Goal tracking: set target amounts and dates for each portfolio and track the remaining value and time until you reach them.
★ Assets can be filtered by type or status (owned only, losses, gains).
★ The built-in news aggregator downloads and filters only the news that are relevant to your portfolio. Several channels like CNN and Reuters are provided, and you can easily add more from any RSS feed.
★ Alert notifications can be programmed for changes in prices, market value or gain/losses, for each asset or for specific portfolios. After triggered, alerts can be automatically inverted or adjusted by a certain value or percentage.
★ The Financial Agenda keeps track of relevant events and reminders for each asset, like expiration/maturity dates, IPO dates, payout dates etc.
★ A graphical simulation tool projects the future value of your portfolio based on variables like period, return rate, inflation, monthly deposits etc.
★ Home widgets are provided for a quick overview of your portfolios, assets, latest news and upcoming events.

I didn't know there is trial version that will expire, so I couldn't explore the app as much as I would like. My problem was I'd like to see my asset allocation, but investment sectors are often wrong and you cannot add or edit sectors, so it's useless in this department. I'm not paying $5 for this.

Edit Jul 8 - Calculations not working. Don't waste your time or money on this joke app. Csv exports are virtually useless either for updating on pc, or even making sense out of it. My Stocks Portfolio is a better option with intuitive csv import/export & working calculation.

I downloaded this because it has a widget that shows aggregate portfolio value and was free. It's annoying to initially figure out how to setup a new portfolio and doesn't seem to update regularly w/o going into the program, negating the whole point. Looking for something to provide as close to real time quotes with position value in a widget. Widget font is way too small and doesn't seem to be alterable in config. BOTTOM LINE: This app does do what I wanted, but seems unpolished & too complex for my basic needs. You get what you pay for.

Please add the ability to make an alert when an asset reaches a certain percentage of portfolio value, or better yet, when it reaches a certain percentage of the value of a group of assets (for example set up an alert when large cap/small cap/foreign holdings get + or - 5% of target ratios. Just paid for the license after trying this app for a few days and finding it a great one! It's very customizable and the page capture function alone is already well worth the money. They should trademark that function since it's so unique.
