Listen Audiobook Player

Love this app. Very simple to use. However... having said that, the reason for the 4 stars: Arranging the queue is a pain. Every time I try to scroll to review my playing order, a book or 3 accidentally disappears, and I have to go add it again and carefully move it to the desired spot. Yes, I know to stay away from the right-hand side, but sometimes just touching in the middle of a book in order to start scrolling is enough to make a book vanish. Very frustrating.

Pretty good overall! Queueing large numbers of short stories is a bit awkward, but it's miles ahead of the competition. If I had to pick one thing to change/improve, it would be the ability to set a longer sleep timer volume fade period.

Some features were tricky to find. After a few weeks, I'm amazed at all it does. It's the best audio book listener I've used. Great stuff!

I've tried so many audio book apps, and like it says in the description, I wasn't happy in some way. But this app is so clean and functional, I genuinely love. I won't use another.

Bought it yesterday but hadn't open it till now. The app crashes constantly. 7 times tried to open it and 7 times crash. Restarted the phone and have the same crash. Pls fix it or I think it would be just fare to ask for a refund.

This is the best audiobook app I have used. Would really love to have Chromecast integration added on one of the updates thanks

This app almost crashed my Nexus 5X after I pressed the left arrow for several times when adding new library folders.

Great App everything I needed, sleep timer, bookmarks, plays mp3s. Ignore the play store warning that this app may not be optimised for your device, I've got this running on a nexus 7 with 6.0.1 marshmallow and it works great, it doesn't even make a difference if you have folders in folders, as in under the audiobook folder, you have a structure like 01, 02 etc, each with 4 15 minute mp3s in (as that's the way I had to set them up for my Sony Walkman till it exploded and nearly burnt the house down), this app just carries on to the next file as if they were all in the root audiobook directory, for feature requests I would like to see a fast forward and rewind button in place of two of the skip buttons and maybe in the future an import from cloud option like, google drive and Dropbox, not that it's that hard to plug it into USB and copy your books over, other than that I can not fault this app, easy five stars.

Doesn't allow for loading via Google Drive Edit: Responding to reply. I'm super aware that you can do it via work arounds, but Google Drive doesn't allow for downloading folders natively & if you were to implement the Google Drive API, you'd be able to listen to files on drive without any hassle or file duplication.

I listen to a lot of audiobooks and have used many players. This is by far the best. Well done!

Even though it has an ability to read mp3 tags it doesn't use track number to sort chapters. Chapters are out of order

Best Audiobook player!

I've been using Akimbo player for years but they have not updated since I got it. This app on the other hand looks great and is easy to use. They even have the controls in the notification shade which is a feature that I requested from the other app but got no response. Love this app. Great work.

My favourite audio book player. A very nice intuitive UI. Does pretty much everything you can think of with an audio book. We have spent many many hours together.

Great App, wish you can add your own album art. 'Local' section show no possible selections. Update: Great news thank you. Just place images in book folder.

Lots of features but the design leaves much to be desired. Please update visual design.

Great interface and book player

Love it. My go to for years for audiobooks. Works exactly how you'd expect it and never fails. Love the syncing with Google which makes switching phones super easy as it will remember all your bookmarks. Stop looking and just buy this if you want to listen to mp3 audiobooks...

Everything you need is here, i try many apps but this app satisfied me from first minutes of listening to the end of every audio book, easy to import, save bookmarks or auto save, cool and useful widgets, shows in % proggress and so on... easy to navigate and intuitive ,worth every penny paid and even more. That's why I'm here.

Possibly the best value you can find in an audiobook player app! Don't let the low price point fool you - this app has pretty much any option a user would want for listening to their own audiobook files. Very happy I found this app!

This is the best audiobook player I have bought, tried them all and there are always little flaws with each different player. Could you add to your list, loading (calibre) metadata.opf files to show the details of the book. Thanks Mark

Excellent for listening to books or listening to lectures

I'm so happy I risked a dollar and a half for this. I love this app. Plays my audiobooks really well! HOWEVER, can you help me? Is it possible to scan individual chapters? Because if, for example, I slide my finger on the slider on top of the player, it scans the entire book, and not the chapter that I'm currently reading. Hope the developer answers. Thank you! EDIT: Got it. Takes a while to get used to, but it works well. Thank you for being so responsive!

Best audiobook app around. I love how the developer paid attention to features like how long ago did you last listen to this book. The longer it's been, the further back it starts playing to remind you what was happening in the book.

Loving this app. Love to fall asleep to a good story timer makes it so easy. **Update** Having problems on new phone. App stops playing audio. Have to close out of the app and the start again. It happens after a few minutes of playing. Not the timer as it is set to 60 minutes. Please fix.

This is the best audio book app I've found so far. I had previously used Mort and Smart but felt they stagnated. I had to ask the author a question and he replied quickly and solved the issue.

This app is really buggy. It's difficult to set up and it's not particular user friendly. I've had better luck with other apps.

In my opinion the app is not working properly. I have a one plus 3T device. I selected a folder where my audiobooks are located on the device. The Listen app, restructured the given folders/files and renamed files inside the folders I have my audio books stored. That is not welcome I had to reupload every audio book again to my device. Moreover, the app for some reason started showing some of the files as duplicates in the list after that. Also, I have notices that even though it should take the filenames from the details of the files, for some reason even when I delete the files from my phone and refresh the library, and again reupload the files, the app remembers the old names. I had to delete the whole cash of the app in order to refresh the file names.

Impressed! Normally, when I install an app, the first thing I do is to email the developer with suggestions. It's the first time I've installed an app and found everything I wanted.

I've tried a lot of audiobook players, but this one just works brilliantly, with a great feature set and no extra bloat. Have recommended it to everyone.

Regular updates, smooth ui, plenty of features, compatible with all major audio formats. Thanx:) However, i would recommend lyrics/summary display option while listening to audiobooks so as to get the hang of the plot in the beginning and make listening more comfortable/fun. 15082017 thanx for fulfilling my request. I can view audio information while listening to books. Its very helpful. Much obliged.

Recently this apps sound deteriorated significantly. I have tried using the equalizer and anything that adjusts but no help. Any ideas? This audio book reader has it all. They have no competition. It's better in every criteria you can imagine. These folks are readers and they take pride in their product. Lots of people say this stuff. But acme walks the walk. Whenever there is a problem they fix it. In the words of Carly Simon " nobody does it better! " if you guys were girls I would marry you. I'm going to stop here before I am tempted to hyperbolize. But I do love you.

Recently moved from Akimbo, love your app. Missing one feature though. I listen before sleeping and manually quit listening. Akimbo had a keep-alive feature and would dim the screen after a bit. I can't find any setting that would allow me to do this with your player. Could you add? (Or instruct me how)

My experience with this app is it make my tablet crash and it can't find audiobook on sd card it's just waste of money just saying would like a refund asap this sucks
