About Cash Passport

The new updated design of the Cash Passport app allows cardholders to manage their multi-currency card account, check balances, view transactions and move money between currencies on their Android device. The new screens will make the app easier and quicker to use.

This app is designed to give you an easy way of managing your Multi-currency Cash Passport card.
If you are not currently a Multi-currency Cash Passport cardholder, please visit www.multicurrencycashpassport.com for more information.

For single-currency cards, please use your existing portal through your browser, or contact your branch.

UK customers can top-up their currency balances through the mobile app up to the equivalent of £250 per transaction.

I've used many online banking websites and Apps and tested this one. The website is simple to use and structured well. The reload also works although the online rates are lower after the account is established at times. The App also works well. I think the App needs the option to suspend cards similar to website so when card is lost or stolen the user can quickly deactivate before being compromised. The ATM finder is slow at times but a brilliant feature that most banks don't have. Great provider.

Have tried to top up now for a week with no success. Have even called customer services but the level of service is appalling..... I was told that the problem could be my Internet connection..... useless! Mastercard should know better. Ridiculous to have an app that doesn't work and even more shocking is the fact that this has been going on for months. Don't waste your time.....

Can't top up through the app. Can't see all my activity as it won't display the whole item when I click on it; some remaims hidden. Had so much trouble trying to log in despite putting in the correct information. Not what you need when you're away on holiday trying to access your cash.

Want to waste hours of your holiday? Get one of these cards and battle to get the app working. Have these guys heard of QA? And why no responses? At least try and explain the issues to partially redeem yourselves

The website is slow and cumbersome enough so I thought I'd try the app to get my balance easily while abroad. Same issues as other feedback the app does not accept my password even though I know it's correct. I waste of time. After this holiday I'll be closing the card down and they even charge you to do that.

Unlike most of the rest of the comments, this app worked fine for me. I managed to review my balance and top up my card without much fuss at all. It doesn't look like a well designed app, unfortunately, but at least it does what I need it to

For a major player in this industry your app and Website are nothing short of a disgrace. I have given up trying to register with the app. As no matter what password I dream up, it's not accepted. Your Website is just as rubbish. Mastercard.. you should be ashamed.

When I come to register my card and enter my date of birth the dates are restricted to Feb March etc there is clearly an error with the app. I'm travelling with my thomas cook cash passport tomorrow and need access to my balance. Please sort it out asap! Terrible!!!

Never worked to top up online. Only by phone but restricted by opening hours. A lot of stress. Better exchange rates at Post Office. Forget about these idiots

I intended keeping this card going as it now supports UAE Dirhams. Unfortunately the app DOES NOT support Dirhams. I also found out I'll be charged $4 a month once inactivity exceeds 12 months. Ditching this app AND the card.

App doesn't fully display on my Android phone. I cant log in using it. Keeps telling me my password and email address don't match, but works on website. Just too problematic. Would expect better.

Won't accept any password no matter how technical it isn't good enough. Not good enough for an official app for Mastercard and have to pay to even get the card. If I read the reviews first I wouldn't have gotten the card, screw you guys

Please make this ap more visible on a tablet. The curser flashes over the number in the password indicator. I can't see it as it is far too small. Needs to be able to view landscape too please, then will give higher rating as it works fine, just can't log in easily on the tablet!!!

Put in last 4 digits of card. Said they were incorrect but they aren't. Can't go any further but based on other reviews that's probably a good thing. I was fortunate enough to put enough money on the card in the first place so it doesn't matter much, but you should not advertise a service that let's you top up when you want if the app to do so doesn't work. Appaling.

I never normally write reviews. But if you're reading this, please read on!! If you have any other option available to you to then.... 1. Do not use this app and 2. Use any other means available to purchase your travel money! This is the second time I've tried topping the card up and it won't work. But the money will show up unavailable in my bank account now for at least a week. It's total shite.

I got my card today and thought I would top up to make sure it works before we go on holiday. Tried the app didn't blinking work. Mind u neither did the Website it ruddy rediculous. How are u ment to top up when your away??? Feel it's been a waste of time.

Continuously locks me out even though I'm submitting the right password. Cashcard good for withdrawing money. But luckily it only locks you out of app because you use pin code to withdraw money off card. But if you need to reload card then this app is then useless. Come on Thomas Cook and Mastercard sort yourselves out! This is not good enough.

Chose this over the post office one I used last year which was connected to my debit card and easy to top up.. this however doesn't offer that !! Even though the Thomas Cook advisor said I could!!

Nobody in their right mind would swap currencies from one wallet to another because of the silly charges, but that seems to be the only thing you can do with this app... the exchange rate to top up in-app is actually so much better than the website, but it gives error so not really much of a convenience. How hard can it be to realise this app needs a fix after all these complaints?!?

I read the reviews before downloading thinking maybe I'll be lucky and it'll work for me. After EVENTUALLY registering my card online (which is close to impossible and I had to go through one rude customer service advisor to reach a helpful one who set it up for me) I tried to log in and nope. Apparently like many people here the email and last four digits of my card don't match knowing fully well they do as I just registered THAT CARD WITH THAT EMAIL 2 SECONDS AGO. Waste of time!

Good job i can top the card up via the website cos the app is pretty useless, the only thing you can use the app for is checking the balance on your card. This app needs fixing big time

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Make sure you select "credit" or tour hit with a 10% transaction fee. If the atm machine screws up dam 10% fee

Maybe try it, uninstall if doesn't work for u. Despite reviews, I installed and tried it for new cash passport act and logged in fine first time, showed balance and transaction, and settings for preferred currency. No probs at all. Not tried reload as would just use my online banking to make a 'payment' to the card for that. Its v clunky app tho. Basic, slow, not good design, but seems to do what u need.

This is a great idea with one fatal flaw: it doesn't work. Neither the app nor the website are reliable and every time we get WiFi access we 'have a go' at topping up, because there Red constant connection problems. We've tried different Internet providers, different phones, different cards from different banks. Unreliable and causing us real problems. That said once the money is on the account the cards work great, just a shame about the background service. Next time we will travel with another provider.

Like everyone says below this card is only useful for checking your balance. When you try to top up an error message appears. It was sold to me in the basis I could top up on the app!

I have had trouble with this app as Travelex have reduced the amount of currency one can add to the card in a single transaction. I have had the card for several years and used to be able to add currency in £500 lots. They have now reduced that amount to £250 which in itself is not a problem. However if you try to add a value above £250 you receive an error message telling you to try again later. The message does not explain that you are trying to buy too much currency. Now I know this the app works ok

During my previous trip it was great. Now it won't log in. A really awkward design and doesn't work at all on my Samsung S6. Fortunately the website works well. Forget this app.

I travel a lot for work so I used this card all the time. First the option to reload on the app disappeared, Then so the option to reload through my account online. Called customer service and after I had to tell the agent three times what I saw on my screen, he said I could only reload through the travelex.co.uk page. Which is a nuisance as you need to input your personal info every time, and you can only load one currency. All the good features and convenience of the card went away. Have cancelled now.

Thomas Cooke should be ashamed to be associated with this card and app. I wish I had seen these reviews before I got one of these cards. The poor reviews are correct, the app and website don't work. I can't login or top up.

After trying several times with 2 different cards the servers won't allow payment to go through saying there is a Web server issue or payment failure. What meant to be so easy is so hard.

Since the last update you can no longer top up your account balance using the app, limiting the options to checking balance and moving money.
