About LectureNotes (Trial Version)

LectureNotes is an Android app for note-taking by handwriting on the screen, in particular with a stylus.

It has been designed while having a user at university (or at school) in mind, for instance a lecturer who is using it for preparing her/his lecture or even for actual teaching (by writing on the device and projecting the screen content for the audience) or a student who is using it for taking handwritten notes during a lecture. However, it has found many users outside university, for instance businesspersons who use it for business notes and sales presentations or artists who use it to create sketches and drawings.

Its major target devices are tablets with Android 3.0 or later. The basic functionality works on all devices with Android 3.0 or later, but some which are hardware-dependent such as pressure sensitivity might not.

NOTE: This is the free trial version, in which the number of notebooks is constrained to two, with no more than eight pages per notebook.

See the help page https://www.acadoid.com/apps/ln/help/ for more details.

Possible issue: For certain functionality, the app requires other apps to be installed: Notebook and folder import, notebooks board restore, and image set import require a file manager app to be installed; image import directly from camera requires a camera app to be installed; PDF import requires a file manager app and PDFView to be installed; export to Evernote requires the Evernote app to be installed; export to OneNote requires the OneNote app to be installed.

Definitely a 5 star from my side... Have given 1 star to get developer's attention... Hello developer... When I try to export video it creates seperate audio and video files which I need to combine on pc... Can you 3xplain if there is a way to export single audio video file... Or can you suggest how to combine the audio and video on android itself... Thanks and Regards for such a great app... Looking forward to purchasing it once the video export issue is sorted out for me... Edit: it is working now... Thanks

Very useful app. Love it! I would like to know how to move pages from the trial version to the regular version. And I could not understand how to use the typed text, I cant move it, change color or size. And can I make the page endless size? Please help :) make it simpler. But all the other things are really great!

The answer to GoodNotes on IOS is LectureNotes on Android, and it is even better! The configuration options can be overwhelming, but worth working through. Registration well worth it, but you can get great use from this trial. Great stuff!

Just perfect for note taking.

This is almost the perfect note taking app. My only issue is that the app replaces the very precise S pen dot with a classic writing cursor when hovering the pen. An option to toggle this feature would be great. This is the only thing preventing me from buying the full version. Edit: Turns out this is a bug that happens when you select the text tool in the pen box. It can be worked around by closing the app ends reopening it.

It's a great app with a huge potential for me. The S-Pen work very smooth than in other apps and have many customizable settings. I would like to use it in class to take my notes but i see useful if you implement features like Refined shape , Math formula recognition and Handwriting recognition using selecting tools for LATER edit like in s note to turn into text. Have you planned to do this in future updates ? I really want to take the full version. Thx !

I've discovered a bug. After selecting the keyboard icon to type text, the stylus pointer never reverts to the default small circle from the text insertion pointer. This is rather distracting and inconvenient, especially considering I encountered this bug almost immediately and I like the app otherwise. Should the developer guarantee that this bug is not present in the full version, I would purchase it.

Great app! It has everything I need from the ability to create graphs and tables right in the app, import pdfs, adding layers, and organizing notebooks. The developers are also very helpful and active in answering and solving issues with the app. This app is definitely worth buying.

Alright but since I've installed it I've been blocked from simply viewing pdf's instead I have to download each individually. This takes longer and makes a mess in my file library of this app. Expect more functionality not less for the money.

I like the customizability but it can be overwhelming as it is sometimes confusing what features are what. Wish it had 1.Highlighter 2.Use finger touch as eraser 3.Use press/hold button motion for an action (eg. Cutter/highlighter). I have s pen and when I press button once to use eraser, it activates air command (even with the feature off). Also I find setting zoom and scroling options confusing; i think the two finger scroll or screen edge scroll and two finger zoom and double tap action for zoom in/out should be the default mode.

K70%

Takes a second to get used to, but it is feature rich and worth the asking price. Not as intuitive as some other note taking apps or as pretty, but it is everybit as functional if not more.

R70%
by R####:

I'm using the trial version. This app seems to rely on an autosave method. I don't feel comfortable typing something important without a dedicated "Save" button, then closing the app, and later discovering my document has not in fact been been saved.

R70%

Honestly, this App is easy to use & incredible functional. The Developer has included lots of cool features & details. Plus he responds to questions super fast! 5 Stars all the Way! Michael in TX!

R70%
by R####:

It's a good app for the purpose for which it is developed, but I discovered that the pen accuracy does not synchronize in different mode. When you start writing in landscape and you later turn it in portrait, the pen writing does appear in a different place other than where you press.

It's a good app but for some reason, words from previous line tend to disappear occassionally. Is there anyway to overcome this before I decide to purchase the full version? Tks

R70%

It does not recognize hand writting allowing users to find notes. It's not convenient if you write a lot of notes.. please integrate this feature like the alternative apps

Using a Galaxy Tab A with S pen. I would like to see a cleaner UI that is meant for finger inputs. I will stick to Squid for now but I much prefer your method of showing and organizing notes. Also I feel like there are far too many options and settings, they distract from the core functionality of the app.

Except that it's perhaps too much. There's a pretty steep learning curve because this app is just a bit too complicated. That being said, it is extremely well thought over, well made and programmed, and the devs obviously put allot of effort into it. Just be prepared to learn it

Insane amount of settings- loved it, wish all apps have comprehensive set of settings. The trial version convicted me to buy full version. Sad is- that some people with undeveloped brains rated this app one or two stars for too many settings which they obviously could not handle

R70%
by R####:

Incredibly unintuitive, and unhelpful "help" text. There are five different ways of doing palm rejection (pretty essential), but the help text doesn't help very much. I know I probably have to set up a "safe zone", but can't see how do this anywhere. The rest of the interface is just as complicated - for instance, the text entry area has lots of arrows on it, that don't seem to do anything. If I could work out how to use palm rejection (and the rest of the software!), this could be a useful app, but I can't, so will stick with the much more intuitive INKredible (which also doesn't do palm rejection very well).

R70%
by R####:

First impressions are that this could be a truly excellent app, but it is laid out in a way that is not at all intuitive to me, so slow and frustrating to use. Examples: why can't many option defaults be set at folder or notebook level, eg such things as text size, colour etc? Why no auto capitalisation? Why if I want to change colour do I have to wade through the pencil options? Why only black for text? Could be wonderful, every possible option seems to be available, but just too frustrating. Love the minimal permissions, particularly lack of network permissions.
