SmartFoodTracker - Food Logger for Android
I really appreciate this app for tracking food groups. I haven't found any others like it. It really helps me focus on eating a balanced diet according to guidelines.
Love the app and all the things you can do (number of servings and snacks etc) i only wish there were more preloaded meal options (three cheese chicken penne and such).
It's exactly what I was looking for. Just a simple app to log what I eat, nothing more.
This app changed my life. I am losing weight and i have never felt this balanced and healthy in my entire life. I wish it has more detailed options for the food though but it has a large selection i have not had any trouble logging my food. But it has some name brands which are good but it needs more brands and options like if i want to log that i drank a vanilla cappuccino...it has Italian and orange and doesnt have the brand i use but i just log Italian cappuccino lol. Its very easy to use and i recommend it to everyone. Id be lost without it now.
Am glad i waited before reviewing i initially liked the app i can track my food but then i am unable to pick one food its always tuna and beanz i had tuna alone that increases my levels on foods i did not eat. Some foods like lean beef mince i cannot find. So it's good for somethings
Its better than just counting calories. I love this app because of the food groups. It needs work but this is the future. It helps me be aware that I need a fuit, vegetable, or a glass of milk. I use this together with Myplate. Thanks!
Could use a few more items in the database. Mostly, I would like a note field to be able to add personal comments to each day to track things like mood, energy level, allergies, indigestion, etc., to make it a good app for identifying food allergies, etc. Day, week, month calorie options are great.
Good app, however there is no menu button in the app to access more functionality, profile change etc. Nexus 4
You have to enter in grilled chicken calories and fat...too complex. Come on.
A+ app
Good way to keep track of my daily food intake!!!!
Helps me with my dietbeties & weight

I'd like to see a subtotal of calories at each meal so I can see how that meal affected my day. I'd also like to see a graphical representation for empty calories (snacks) like on the usda super tracker so that u can easily stay on track. And finally, the button to buy the pro version doesn't seem to work as nothing happens when I select it.
I use it to track everything I eat. I have a hard time gaining weight so this app helps me to make sure I healthy and enough.
I like how it breaks up the food groups so I can see what I need more of, however the food menu to choose from is cumbersome and takes forever to find something. My biggest issue is that even though the FAQs page says to go to the menu button to change the settings, no button seems to exist. I'm pregnant so my required calories are changing, since pregnancy isn't an option on the app (it should be!) I at least need to be able to manually change my requirements.
This is the best app I've found for keeping track of food groups, not just calories, etc. However, I had noticed it didn't seem to be super accurate. When I tried to add a food, it showed how inaccurate it really is - you put in calories and weight of portion, but for food groups, you're just supposed to guess. I put in 100% veg for Kale, Raw but when I added this to my log, it only gave me a couple %. Really frustrated.
The help menu says "to change profile settings, tap the menu button." There is no menu button. So when I lost weight, there was no place record it and adjust my targets accordingly. Very poor design! And it's a shame because I like that it's more about balance than weight loss. But I deleted it.
Easiest food diary or calorie/carb counter I've found, plus it is detailed, flexible, and graphically great. I recommend adding the pro version if you want to create your own foods with accurate nutritional tracking
What I like about this app is that it gives you your food group count which is really what I'm looking for BUT entering the foods I ate is the reason I had to uninstall. Wish things were different but guess I'll have to track it myself.
Super easy to use yet lacking info. Numbers are not correct.the nut protein and calories needs to be fixed.there is not enough protein in 1/4 c of almonds to cover two or three days worth of protein. If the info gets fixed soon I will keep this app.
Love the app and all the things you can do (number of servings and snacks etc) i only wish there were more preloaded meal options (three cheese chicken penne and such).
Please note that fruits and veggies have protein and add it to the totals.
Best tracking app ever!
An excellent and easy way to make sure I'm getting the proper amount of each food group, especially the fruits and vegetables.
Doesnt even open!
Needs work.
Love this app. I just wish the food creator for when your food item is not on the list wad a little easier to use. It is not terribly intuitive.
Didn't work for me.
I really can't complain its really helping me with my food awareness. Good job.
I thought this would be good, but not a large database- no kinks for grocery items, restaurants, etc. No menu button. Every time I try and enter a food, it can't be found. Uninstalling.
Wtf? Every time I try to go on the app, it loads for about 30 sec and then says that the app stopped! Wtf?! Uninstalling
I like the idea and want to switch my focus from tracking calories to tracking nutrition. This app and the website are ok but have a long way to go. Both need to pair up with Myfitness pal to increase their database and include off brand and name brand items and restaurants instead of just general food items. Very hard to track completely with this app or the site.

Really helps balance out your diet. This would be great for any serious athlete or just anyone really!
Using the app purely as a doc recommend food journal. Its got a pretty comprehensive list of foods, and I like the way it remembers past food choices. Wish there was a way to export your logs.
One star subtracted for value. If the pro version was more reasonably priced I would definitely buy it. Similar apps are $0.99, not sure why this one is 10x more.
It just needs a back up feature.
Cool app but not really what I was looking for. I need a different amount of each food group than the standard food pyramid and I didn't see where I could change that to meet my needs.

Has a few bugs but great idea. Definitely needs accurate measurements or defeats purpose. Change this and get 5 stars. Add nuts.
