Address Finder (Free)

After reading some of the negative reviews I thought I'd give it a try for myself. It's a great app. Instead of touching the screen try implying a single tap. To display the full length address use the share feature. You can also use the share to copy. Many of you are giving this guy a bad rap. Stop it.

Very accurate, but there should be no reason to ask to turn my GPS on within your app. Should be left up to the user to decide. Annoying pop-up. Otherwise I like it does was you say.

I need where I'm going to where I am .The address section cuts off postcode I need.Deficiets the object of the app can it be improved? I would have brought ....advert free one if improved.

Rubbish presented with a map of world move to UK. Trying to pinpoint the address harder than finding a needle in a haystack. Total crap uninstalled

The address copy to clipboard? It is the only improvement I can think of. 5 star if possible.

Just wasting of time this app you can't get full postcode only 1st half...

Great app and does exactly what it says, to rate this app bad you must be a moron!

No way to search for addresses, just a big map.

Does not give correct addresses in rural areas.

App is good but could be better if you could add the address function to display as a widget without the map.

If this did multi line for addresses that don't fit the width of your screen and allowed you to copy the address, it'd be 5 star. Serves its purpose well :-)

It's called "postcode finder" and what does it do? Cuts off the postcode part of the address - can't scroll to the end - needs to set the field size another ten digits before I'll give anymore than zero (1 star equivalent)

Just what I was looking for. Also a great laugh at those who don't know ow how or don't have a phone that they can turn landscape. Now r problem though on my new S5. Couldn't be easier. So easy to send a text of that location to others. Thanks

Useless app. Doesn't show full postcode. Address bar isn't big enough to take the full address and postcode. Even turning phone to landscape makes no difference. I'm using a galaxy S4 with latest android. Uninstalled.

I frequently visit residential areas where address numbers are obscured or missing. At that point I will turn on the Android "Location" (aka GPS) service and then launch this app. It immediately shows me the address of the home I'm standing in front of. I've been using this for over a year and been extremely pleased with it. Occasionally it will give me the address of the house next to the one I'm in front of, but I've found just moving around and watching the display helps to ensure I'm where I expect to be.

Cannot see postcodes ??? Shows address but info window won't scroll to allow postcode to show

Good! Needs refining for long addresses I like this app, it allows you to point to a place on the map and it tells you the address and the postcode. Very neat! However, if you're in portrait mode and it's a long address, it doesn't fit on the screen, so you can't read it or the postcode. It needs to wrap the text. Also, allow copying to clipboard.

But does not have a search for the location you want.

Not good to say the least. Post codes not visible on long addresses. Very awkward when all you want is a post code. Going back to Royal Mail

Without the facility to copy the address and/or postcode, or to enter any address and find the postcode, or to even SEE the postcode for a longish address (no, landscape view doesn't help), this is nothing more than bloatware.

This is very handy but it only gives you the first half of the postcode if the address is long and changing to landscape mode DOES NOT fix this. Will change to 5 stars when fixed as the map and the fact it supplies the road name is brilliant!
