About Tapsody
Tapsody is the first music player to use a completely eyes-free, gesture-based interface. The app is designed for situations when you can’t look at your phone screen – during activities or exercise or in bright sunlight when the screen is hard to read.
This is the full version of Tapsody featuring a 25-song play list, optional shuffle mode playback and optional shake detector to change songs. This version does not contain pop-up advertisements.
Tapsody works with your installed music library and your installed text-to-speech engine. The app does not use speech recognition which is error-prone. The app reads aloud your selections as you swipe through your music library or plays short tones during rapid browsing so you can flip through your music as fast as your fingers can go.
The screen is divided vertically into two touch ‘zones’ making it virtually impossible to input a wrong command. Select artists and songs using swipe and touch gestures on the left two-thirds of the screen. Tap the right side of the screen to play and pause songs.
Create a play list on the fly. Long press the right side of the screen to add the currently playing song to the play list. Long press again to delete it from the play list. Lock the play list to prevent accidental changes.
Arrows and other graphics on the screen are for reference purposes only and can be turned off from the options menu. Select from multiple background images. Adjust music and interface tone volume separately.
The unique gesture and text-to-speech interface lets you browse your entire music library on the go. Whether you're exercising, catching rays at the beach or on a joyride - all your music is at your fingertips.
