About ABN AMRO Grip

What are the advantages of Grip?
• Better insight into your income and expenditure
• Automatic categorisation of debits and credits
• Easy budgeting

Grip gives you insight into your incomings and outgoings in a way that is both easy and fun. All your ABN AMRO debit card transactions are automatically put into categories. You can set budgets for each category, such as a monthly spending cap for groceries or clothes. The app will let you know when you are about to go over budget. This way, you know exactly what you spend your money on and what you have left to spend for the rest of the month.

For whom is it intended?
The app is available to personal customers of ABN AMRO aged 16 or over who have one or multiple current accounts.

Getting started with Grip
To start using the app, you first need to register using the account you use to log in to Internet Banking or the Mobile Banking app. You will only need to do this once. When registering, you will be asked to enter your current account number and your debit card number. Next, confirm the registration using your 5-digit identification code.

Hello ABN, Today i have installed ABN grip app to track my transactions the app looks good. However, I see three strange things. Firstly, it didn't track sep 2017 month transactions, i did 4 transactions on last week of sep. Secondly, sep month 4 transactions where added in the oct month total. However, it's no showing in the list of oct transactions. Finally, last week transactions i.e. oct 25 to today it is showing in Nov month graph. I am not sure whether it's a bug or is their any reason behind that. I would appreciate if someone clarify on this.

I like it because it is simple, I don't need to be freak control and it does most part of the work. I would only suggest to add a option to split the entries in different categories. For example, if I withdraw 100 to buy something with cash in a store that cost 80, I could at least say that 80 of those 100 is in category shopping. Could be applicable for any entry.

Pretty nice app for keeping track of expenses, especially notifying when some income is received. But how come not the other way around? Other than that, I also noticed when logging on, the screen flashes back to an empty 5-digit screen and then to the overview. I've seen that on multiple phones now.

Nice application! Thanks for adding English language! The only issue I currently have is a multiple notifications from a single purchase. For example I pay for something and it can send me up to 4 same pop-up notifications.

Come back to this after a first try that was NOT impressive. It is still totally useless!! Limited catagories and tags do nothing useful. Cannot track a particular item you buy often unless by luck it is one of the few catagories. Tags achieve nothing. Need to be able to define more catagories for yourself.

Unable to use it for the past couple of days. Shows an error upon inputting the identification code. Kindly fix it !

This app works perfectly to allow me to set budgets and track my cash flow easily. One minor thing which would be a nice addition is fingerprint login as it is much more convenient.

Pretty good app so far. It's slick and does some stuff for you automatically that isn't all that intrusive. However it is still missing the ability to create custom categories and recognition of some items that are clearly the same. It should know after some time.

Great app! One issue detected: the app does not work over WiFi networks (tried at home and at work) but works well over 3G connection. Some specific port used or what?

D70%
by D####:

Synchronization bug seams to have been fixed. I still think the category list should be either vastly extended or made editable, though.

The interface is nice and intuitive, what is not intuitive is that you cant toggle screenshot allowance nor can you log in with fingerprint :(

De app ziet er goed uit, alleen helaas heb ik Rabo en kan ik niet gebruik maken van de app, ik zie graag in de toekomst de mogelijkheid om met andere banken in te loggen .

D70%
by D####:

Its nice for keeping an eye on your income/expenses but sadly it is not possible to make your own markers

D70%
by D####:

Nice app! Would be good to have custom categories and a way to manually "describe" cash withdrawals, since they are other categories in disguise...

K70%
by K####:

It has potential but in my opinion a bit buggy. For example I don't get why my average "left from income" is so different if I select as salary day the first of the month or the 25th. Some months are not counted. Once you tag an expense in one of The special category as "saving", "transfer" and "exclude" looks like those are gone forever, I didn't find a a way to retrieve those anymore. Am I missing something?

D70%
by D####:

Great app, I only have 1 question; What is your 5-digit identification code? The one you must enter to open the app.

D70%
by D####:

Great app for basic finance tracking. I've been using it for a while and I am now starting to see trends in my expenses which I can use to alter my spending habbits.

F70%

Prima app om snel inzicht te krijgen in uitgaven vs inkomsten. Goed gedaan. Zou helemaal leuk zijn als de zakelijke rekeningen ook inzichtelijk gemaakt kunnen worden.

W70%
by W####:

Very useful app for tracking finance. Some of the visualization and filtering capabilities could be improved. For example, a barchart would be superior to a pie chart as the main visualization.

D70%
by D####:
