Galaxy Charging Current Pro

I've been using this app for years on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and recently upgraded my device to a Samsung S8+. Unfortunately, this app no longer displays the proper Maximum Value when installed on my S8+. Until the app is updated, I am moving to a different app. Blessings to you.

Upgraded from Note 3 to a Note 5 and it stopped working. Shows negative numbers and jumps all over the place. Totally worthless if you have any newer than a Note 3 or S4.

Why is there no support for the S8, it's been out for a long time now and the S9 won't be long until it's here. It was a great app, but it's been uninstalled since I got the S8, shame. Get support for the S8 and I'll give it the five stars it deserves!

It is 99 cents ppl....C'mon! Actually it is very useful for getting rid of crappy cables that slow down charging.

Good app. Must for most of the Samsung phones. Do not believe the negative remarks. Go ahead and buy this app if the free version works

Changed battery twice before installing this app which showed the usb lead was at fault. Very pleased indeed

I initially installed this app on my Galaxy S5 phone and it works great! I installed it on my Galaxy tab E, it gives obviously erroneous readings, this is by no means a slam on the developer! I haven't installed it yet on my Galaxy S3 (supposedly top of the line android tablet and it is awesome ).... note to developer, I would like to see a version for my tablets PLEASE. Thank you!

Uniquely useful app and widget to ensure best charging. Can also use to test USB charging cables and identify/discard faulty or low current cables. Thank you, developer!

Just upgraded from Samsung Galaxy S-5 Active to a new S7Active, seems to be working as described, but I have had it installed for 1 week, I am waiting to get more time with it's performance on New phone, b4 I adjust my previous rating??

It is simple does not come with any weird extras like charging screens or anything it does the one thing I wanted to. It tells me how how fast I'm charging with a given cord or charger

one of my favorites , great way to find weak chargers and weak cords. once i even found 2 good ones of each that did not work well together. this app is great.

On my s5 works as intended, not working on my a3 neither on my s8, readings seem wrong guess because of fast charging.. Please make it work on the S8 readings are totally useles, guess it's all about the adaptive fast charging...

Very useful app! It gives negative charging current on my new Samsung Galaxy J7Pro. Please upgrade if possible.

Okay so this app might be a little out of date for the newest devices but there are plenty of us still using S3/S4/S5 devices and this app has been a godsend for me over the years. I don't like carrying chargers and cables everywhere so I keep a set in my kitchen, lounge, bedroom, car, desk, girlfriends house etc and I've found so many cables that were only charging at minimal current. The app isn't 100% perfect but it's immediately obvious if I plug my phone in and a previously good cable has broken/worn out and now only capable of trickle charging. For the couple dollars in my currency it has been well worth it. I don't begrudge the author for not keeping it up to date - it would be a lot of work and this app just wasn't that expensive. Would be happy to re-purchase a new version if/when fast-charging and newer devices are supported.

Works well on tab s and tab s2. Invaluable in identifying poor charge reason (cable, connection, charger etc). I hope it is updated to work with newer devices before I upgrade.

Long ago, I bought this app and it used to work on my old S4. Unfortunately it's useless to an S7, which shoots my review from 4 stars straight down to 1{bump devs!}ven though I'm pretty sure I read in the description for an update that this app will now work with the S7, but it has not. I've had this app, and my S7 Edge, for over 5 months now. Galaxy Charging Current Pro has not ever worked on the S7! Come on guys, get it together! Update- long long time later, still doesn't work on Galaxy S7!!!

I have been using this since my Samsung Galaxy Note 3. I have now moved on to a Samsung Galaxy S8+ and I hope you update the compatibility soon. I wanna check the credibility of magnetic chargers, and this is the only app I can think of to help me with that. Thank you!

Works great. Quickly shows you which charging cables and plugs are relatively efficient, and which are garbage. Don't suffer with lousy chargers again!

Description talks about all the devices/models supported. But the help menu only has info for the galaxy S3 and Note 2? What impact will fast charging have on data for more recent devices?

*Damned* useful app, as you can easily work out which cables/chargers you have are effective and which are... much less so. Wouldn't be without it...(!)

Does not work on S3 with LOS14 anymore. What a pity. It worked on CM13 though.

Worked well on previous phones, but useless on an S8. Needs an update urgently.

This app has proven invaluable when sorting thru the accumulation of cables & chargers. Great app worthy of my 5 stars.

Provides all the information needed.. Assess usb charging cables for performance.. Cheap cables are not suitable for charging just 400 mA good cables up to 2000 mA

Waste of 99 cents, I have a note 4, nothing new, didn't work.

Great for helping to anaylize charger and cable combos doe best charging performance. Galaxy s4-s7 and note 8 all worked similarly well.

I loved this app - had it on my S5 & it worked perfectly. Now I upgraded to S8+ & it doesn't work. Pls help!

The app works well on my husband's Galaxy S5, but it's unable to record the active current on my S5 Mini. I've given it 3 stars simply because it IDs the phone's maximum current, which I wanted to know and couldn't find on the Internet. Disappointed, but similar apps can't detect the current either.
