You get two one-star hero crystals. For the first, you get Spider-Man automatically. For the second, you get a random tier one character. Progress through quest mode, which is basically story mode. You shouldn't have any problems until chapter 6. If a champion's health gets too low, heal them with a small health potion. Leave the medium and team health potions for later, tougher fights. If you run out of health potions, break open the free crystal you get every four hours. All you get in there is gold, ISO-8, health potions and revive potions. If you are stuck, play a versus match. Break open the versus crystal you get from versus matches. You can get a two or three star Punisher, but it's unlikley you will. If you get 100 Units, buy a premium hero crystal. It's the easiest way to get a three or four star hero.

When you get to Chapter 6, you face the toughest boss yet., also known as The Merc With A Mouth, Wade Wilson and "That totally awesome guy in a red suit." has a special two that causes bleed, so you want to stay away from that. Dodging will help, as both ' specials are close range and don't have much reach. A tactic I find useful is to get a five hit combo or so and then block until Deadpool tries to use a heavy attack, which breaks blocks. At that point, simply interrupt him with a combo before he can do the heavy attack. This also works well against other enemies. Use your best, most skilled and healthiest character. If he/she doesn't win, use a revive, bring out another character or use a health potion. The great thing about the fights are that if a character gets knocked out and is returned, the health won't change. Say I have Spider-Man. He reduces Deadpool's health to 120 before he gets knocked out.

When he is revived, Deapool will still have 120 health. One last thing I would say is this: be on the defensive. Block and dodge often and only attack when you're going to use a special or see an opening. Once Deadpool is defeated, move onto stage two. Alternatively, you may wish to get 100% on stage one. If you chose to get 100% on stage one, make sure you're leveled up and have at least a tier two character. Doing so will make your life much easier. You also get a ton of units for doing a chapter and clearing it 100%.
