LAS: Last App Switcher for Android
I downloaded this app in order to get the function back from what I got used to with a rooted phone. I use it attached to a shortcut to another app (button remapper) to quickly switch to my last app by holding down the recents button. This app does its job almost perfectly so far, the only bug is with Samsung's Good Lock app that replaces the System ui. If i was in the recents this app will will go to the settings for good lock.
It does not start a new version of the prior app as another reviewer stated. The app status is just as you left it, which is what you want. This app will save you tons of time and frustration. I installed it and used it right out of the box. I have yet to change any settings. Works perfectly every time. One of the best and most used apps I have. I love it and so will you.
Bubble is visible during video playback, which is not a good thing. Please and an option to disable/hide bubble during FULLSCREEN video playback and FULLSCREEN apps and auto re-enable/show when exiting from fullscreen playback of video or exiting fullscreen app. It will be a great option to enable switching apps by dragging my fingures from corner and/or side of the screen, instead of using bubble. And finally, Adding animation during switching app. Thanks for this beautiful app. Good day. ☺️
Great utility to switch back and forth between recent apps. Unfortunately it starts a new instance of the previous app instead of taking you back where you left off. Replace the stock Google Now shortcut (on Android 6.0) by going to Settings-Apps-Settings-Default Apps-Assist and voice input-Assist App-Last App Switcher.
On Marshmallow it's perfectly switching between 2 last used apps - just like Alt+Tab in Windows. I use a permanent bubble in corner of screen to press and switch - quite unobtrusive - but you can put a shortcut on your home screen instead/as well. Yes, there's room for expansion: e.g. do something if switch bubble is long pressed. If you have an Xperia mini-apps (or other persistent app on top of with the full-size/normal apps behind and can switch them as you'd want.
Definitely need an option to exclude apps. It switches each and every action we performs, need not be launching an app always, a shortcut or process is treated as an app. That is annoying.
Really loved this app for the longest time. With Android Nougat it's now redundant as double tapping the overview button (the square on the right) now switches to the last running app. But this app was forward thinking and very essential for me for a long time.
For devices with hard home button(eg, Samsung Galaxy Note), go to Setting-Applications-Default Application-Device Assistance App-Change to LAS. The UI in the app is very messy without focuses. Tons of words and unclear. But I am sure this is a very helpful app for heavy users.
Superceded in Android N, functionality is built into Android 7. Works well but settings menu is clunky and not intuitive.
Unfortunately, lollipop causes a relaunch instead of going to the last state of the application when switching back to ther last application. Finally, the ability to switch between two apps with swipes - in combination with 'Swipe home button'. Works well together using swipe binding to shortcut of LAS. Plus plus that it does not have intrusive permissions like the pervasive 'Full network access'.
But on latest version the app crashes every time I try to access the settings menu. I can only run the default settings. Tried resetting app data and reinstalling to no avail. Installed on an LG G3 and marshmallow
This app work's perfectly and is reall handy in using multiple apps and switching with great speed. But its really annoying when we restart boot our device the app does not automatically launch even if i clear data or re-install the app its still showing the same problem i tried everything written in the description. Please fix this bug thankyou.
But whenever I go into the settings, it turns the floater on; ignoring of my "off" setting.
Samsung's Good Lock app that replaces the System UI breaks LAS! If i was in the recents list last, this app will will go to the settings for Good Lock instead of last app - please fix!
a lot of the times it'll pick up a random app to switch to, and most of them strangely are apps that I don't often used. Need some investigating! There fact that this directly changes between apps is great, no ads and it's free! I can only say thank you!
It's not bad, especially considering its free. There should be a way to automatically hide the button during full screen video playback, because it's distracting and obstructive. Also, there needs to be a way to access the settings by holding the button down, because having to find the app in the app drawer all the time (every time I watch a video for example) isn't ideal. It'd also be useful if we could change the shape of the button to a thin line and even make it completely transparent. I'd pay for these extra features.
It says you can turn off the floater and have it so if you swipe up the home key it switchs but that is a lie there is no option to use anything besides the floater
Great app switcher! Could you please add an option to specify apps that should not be switched into? For example, a custom lockscreen app would go in this list.
Thank you for this great app which has solved my problem of switching my apps as I had some lost of sensitivity on my phone. God bless you the developer.
Decent app, but lacks functionality that you would normally want in an app switcher, mainly these two things: 1) No half-bubble visibility. Forced to have the whole circle on screen. Not needed, especially not in the corners. 2) Opens the right application but doesn't end up at the same screen like before. Apps backtrack while in background, which is far from ideal.
Please dev fix this (LG G2, KitKat 4.4.2.)
Unable to locate the bubble On my redmi note 3. Please help Tried everything like installing new version. Switching every button on but nothing worked out
You need to give us an option to add apps we want to exclude. For example, I have an app that pops up the keyboards I have installed and allows me to switch to a different keyboard. Your app will keep switching back to it, opening the pop-up window to change keyboards, and it's a huge pain in the ass. Same for "hovernote" and other pop-up, floating types of apps like that. You need to add an option to exclude certain apps/activities.
One problem when you swap between apps it will reset them, if I were reading a book and swap to it would reset back to page 1.
Useful :)
Setting it to shortcut & long press Home, even after giving it access still brings up stupid Google Search. I miss SlimKat.
But I need black list of excluded applications. For example I use a folder program that I don't need go back to.
I need switching between two apps while biking, and this comes as the best solution yet. I would appreciate very much that size select has even larger options, like 200 or 250.
The only thing this app needs is to enable an, "OK Google, switch to last app" function to help drivers.
Swipe up from home key doesn't work on my device (lg g4) marshmallow
Not working properly on redmi note 3....clearing ram stops the app even after adding the app in autostart.....
It is not working on my device. No bubble is generated by this app for switching.. If you can resolve this i will give 5 star.
It crashes every time i open settings
Infrequently knocks off right ar restart
On my phone restarts apps, does not switch them.
I can not find this app on "App with usage access". Weird
It says you can swipe up from the home button to switch between apps, instead of using the floating button, but I could not find such an option.
Unable to config it in shortcut mode in a LG G4 android 6.0.
This is a good switchr to switch between 2 apps. Its working on other mobiles perfectly but not in MI note 3.Bubble is not showing up.

Reliable, light and just works.... I would like to switch between all the open apps, by just keep pressing/tapping the bubble or swiping from the bottom of the screen. Maybe in the next update. Love the app though. Update!! On lollipop 5.1 it does crash alot and when you switch back to an app like flipboard, it returns to the initial page which is not ideal when you are reading an article. Update 2: it's now working great on lollipop 5.1, don't crash. Great work, well done! Must have app!!!
