TextGrabber – image to text: OCR & translate photo

Must only work on documents, does not work well with books, I tried it several times and each time there were errors in the document after I hit the read button. I guess it's more functional on apple devices. Not satisfied at all.

It works fine. I don't like it adds "grabbed with Abby" to texts I share. It's paid app. Ads like this are unacceptable! I have to share to some notepad first, then share to Whatsapp from my notes...

When i want to scan every time I am forced to open app, No sharing option from gallery. It don't care about paragraphs.It puts sentences one after another.

What is the addon from other free programs Google translate (powered by)? I thought this should give offline translate!

Best app to do OCR processing, very quick, excellent accuracy, simple output,etc. Please improve graphical user interface. Sharing button is very poor, can't switch between image and Texts for review. Import from gallery and camera buttons should be on top of app. Very poor cropping tool. No auto crop. Provide options to do by default like copying to clipboard or after read by default copy to clipboard. And many user friendly features are missing. And one more, app not remember my last import folder location... User friendly 50 marks out of 100

I just purchased this app since I found it on Sale and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed so far with the Character recognition. One thing though (that lead me to rate the app 4/5), is the lack of material design. Add that and your app is worth every star.

How do I refund this useless app? I bought it just an hour ago It hardly works! Wouldn't even load the bloody pictures and when it does- it keeps saying it's unable to recognize the friggin' clear image- when the images I test are crystal clear and all ENGLISH TEXTS!

It didn't work when I bought it and it still doesn't work - downloaded it again to check if it became any better when found similar functionality in Google translator. Yes, I selected and downloaded language pack. Google is free and it's actually working, this one is paid and not working.

It's early, but so far I'm very pleased with this app. Very helpful. Love the accuracy, but with that, also the ability to easily edit and otherwise work with the results. A great productivity booster.

Cannot install on Galaxy S8, Error code: -505, please provide a fix.

Advert network included in paid ver. Recognition is very poor-engl or rus-it doesn't matter-on my 8mp cam and middle-light conditions. When you took a photo to work with and then change language-pic disappears)))). Bad management with taken photos (no management at all:))) ). Doesn't work without int !!! Has int permission. I don't need it at all in my scanner app. Everything bad in this app ! I used FineReader on my comp. And thought of buying FineScan for Android. But now I'll think 78 times before).

Good text recognition but crop not respected on OCR from imported photo. Also, the fact that OCR text output is a single running paragraph of text, makes the output a little hard to deal with. I would give it 3,5 stars // still not solved May 2016 // cropping of imported photo is now correct. Thx. 4 stars. (Aug 2016)

Changed rating to 1 star due to notification spam.Much better recognition accuracy (really!) than the vast majority of other apps in Play store (95% of which rely on the Tesseract engine giving more or less the same -- fairly poor -- results; Abbyy has been developing its own recognition engine over years which is significantly better; some apps that rely on ....

This app does such a great job taking words you see in a photo and turning them into an editable text. However. It does get a little confused when there is a lot of punctuation

Good in text recognition but crop is not well perform it's very hard to crop photo. Also, the fact that OCR text output in a single paragraph of text no enter or paragraph format seen it's output, makes the output a very hard to deal with.

Doesn't work without internet. But this is main case during traveling

Seems to be free now. Anyway. Looks to be a good app. Tried it out on some test text and it works well.

I don't whant to see any advertisements of your programmes and hear any notification.

You told that you are fixing this issue ASAP 3 months ago but still nothing....Still not resolved crop function?? Have to give you 1 star!!!! Crop function does not work. App is reading whole text no matter what selection is cropped.

A very productive app

I use OCR quite regularly and am well aware that the majority of apps perform rather poorly. This one, however, is different. Abbey have developed their own OCR engine and the results are far superior to any other mobile apps I've used. Not only is it blisteringly fast at recognition, it is VERY accurate. At today's sale price it's a no brainer and must-have app.

the last problem i suffered is fix.thanks..well the cropping issue doesnt really affect me.all in all its good

App works good for English, but I'm missing Hebrew.. When?
