Port Authority - LAN Host Discovery & Port Scanner for Android
Excellent tool. Fast with an intuitive interface. Just scan then tap to drill down by host and port and even spawn connections. Any thoughts of writing a version for OSX or Windows..?
Great app. Wished it kept the list of scanned hosts & open-ports until such time that i re-launch a fresh scan. New version of App will have to save a session file for each mac-address (router) you connect to.
One of the best tools on my phone. The detail and presentation of the data is a perfect companion for my work. I would have given it a 5 star if I could export the discovery data, but it's still a keeper until I find a comparable tool that exports discoveries.
It does what it does very well. Donation high but I will donate...
Best port scanner ever. No ads, lightweight and fast. Does its job correctly and when told to. Not like those thieving apps filled with ads and purchases demanding you to pay to see results.
Why so many recent updates?
Best in class. Fast network scanner, assisted by clean UI that provides information only when you need it. Free. Impressive design. No Ads! :) Instead of buying starbucks coffee when using their WIFI, donate to dev, or when ever you a few spare mulons. Thanks dev.
Ad free, just does what it's intended to do with a sleek UI.
Great app, does what it says and is fast.
Fast Functional and Free. Thanks!
cant scan lan. shows up from eth but can't scan lan. utterly useless.
It works, and quickly. Completely freezes sometimes, port scan stops if anything else is in foreground or screen times out.
This is the fastest discovery tool and port scanner I have ever used. love it AAA+++
Easy to use with no add. Great app and works well
Does not work on 10-BaseT LAN connected devices...yet... Good for WiFi security checks and administration
It found all my servers and printers, when I set socket timeout to 800.
Best port scanner for Android, plus it does tons more! This rivals nmap on PC!
Good fast scanner
Wow great app and no ads!
This is what a port scanner should be.
Great app. Did exactly what I needed to do. Handy tool! ????
I like this!
Just the app I needed. Great port scanner
Blazingly fast
Excellent App, does what it says!
It is very useful and Handy.
Works great. Gets the job done...
Downloaded it for the name alone. Genius.
Terrific
Excellent and very user-friendly scanner, works quick and solid in hotel wifis. Author is open to new ideas and is constantly improving the app
Does its job very well.
Voilaaaa its doing a great magic
Works well. Scans ports. No crashes as with older versions. Fast.
Perfection
surprisingly quick, useful. service naming not 100% accurate but if you know what you're looking for it doesn't matter. Overall 3.5 stars for speed and utility but not as thorough as it could be.
VERY good! It bodges on filteted/firewall-dropped ports (unlike plain nmap) but handy, oled friendly and plenty eye-candy!
Love the idea of this. However, any port scanner I have ever used (on servers, workstations, laptops, etc. ) doesn't try to complete a scan as quickly as it can. This app appears to want to complete the scan in under 5 seconds, no matter how many threads you drop it down to. As others have said, if you continually rescan, it will start to pick up more hosts. I would prefer it take its time and be more thorough. That is, after all the idea of the whole app.
Can you please have the vendor name listed with each host without tediously manually clicking through each one? It would make it MUCH easier and a huge time saver. Thank you Aaron!
I have quite a few hosts on my home network. The first 3 scans only found 2 hosts. Each scan after that would find one more hosts. After about 6 or 7 scans, it still didn't find all the hosts. All hosts allow icmp.

Allowed me to find my C.H.I.P. without having to know the router password. Works quite well, and extremely fast too.
