Would be easier if it were simply a shortcut that could be assigned to keys or used in smart launcher apps. It CANNOT be used as a shortcut - apps close and immediately reopen.

awesome tool. if it would only work on 5.1.1 would get 5 stars

This works well for me but it's too inconvenient to pull the notification panel. Awesome feature is simply an activity or even outright shortcut. In my case I would use this really conveniently in Tasker with UI Assistance Request; though probably not useful for many others. Either way, it's the only app I've found thats offering the functionality for those that don't have it and 5 stars for that alone.

It doesn't seem to actually kill tasks or processes, just backgrounds them. On all devices I've tried.

Been using for a long time never fails to close a task and very easy to use, doing just what is needed.

but no idea why apps still appear in the 'foreground' as shown in watchdog lite?

Anyone who says it does kill an app doesn't really know what killing an app is.

I dont think this works on Honeycomb. The killer says that the app was killed, but it still appears when you press the history button on the OS. Im not giving this a 1star though as I cannot tell for sure if it is working for me... plus the idea is awesome. Better than a task killer.

concept, total failed execution. As others said, doesn't really kill anything. Basically just closes ur window so it's running in the background instead of foreground. I wish this worked!

Doesn't REALLY kill. On Froyo, only way is through app manager. Check Froyo task killer.

works great but would like to be able to have options and get rid of the icon in the notification bar.
