Flow Powered by Amazon is an augmented reality app that lets you discover information about items around you. With Flow, you can identify tens of millions of products, including books, DVDs, and packaged household items like a box of cereal or a box of tissues. You can also scan phone numbers, URLs, email addresses and business cards and then quickly dial, open or add the information to your contacts.
To get started, point your camera at:
- Book covers
- Video games
- DVDs & CDs
- Packaged goods like games and toys
- A box of cereal.
Flow will also decode:
- UPC barcodes
- QR codes
- Phone numbers, web and email addresses
- Business cards
New with 2.4, Flow now supports business card scanning, allowing you to recognize multiple business cards without having to change screens. You can scan in both portrait and landscape orientation, just try to fill the screen with as much of the card as you can.
Flow uses A9.com's continuous scan technology to automatically recognize items, and overlay information using augmented reality.
Once you launch the app, aim your camera towards the items you want to identify. Flow will begin recognizing items immediately. Move your phone over one or more items, and information is automatically delivered to the screen.
As with earlier releases, Flow helps you discover more about products available on Amazon.com. If you want to learn more about a product, or find out about related items, or read customer reviews, tap on the product information preview that appears on the screen. You can also share product details with friends via email, or Twitter, or make purchases on Amazon.com. For some products, Flow will display media previews, like audio clips or video clips that can be viewed almost instantly.
Flow’s History feature gives you access to all your scanned items, sorted by date, product category, item name, or scan type.

The lowest prices from Amazon aren't included in the scans I took. I like this app visually and I didn't have issues with it being slow but it doesn't seem to do what it is supposed to very well, because of the limited results. (please fix, I'd love to use this app.)

TERRIBLE PRICING! Just purchased a PNY 64gb USB from Amazon .. scanned it with this new app .. showed up as a purchase price starting at $59.00 .. now that is DARN useless! I am going to uninstall! Would not even trust it .. why bother after an initial try .. am I going to double check every attempt?!

Out of all the scanner apps I have installed, this one is the best by far. It scans so well. The best thing is that it gives you a few different results to precisely select the item you were trying to scan. Great app. Be sure to download.

I tried pointing it at a bottle of Apple juice, while scanning the front label it produced 9 different various results, most of which were at least actually food items. When I scanned the UPC it decided my bottle of juice was Ninja Turtles action figures.

I was a little skeptical at first thinking Oh, this is gonna be a basic sucky barcode reader, I was wrong, you can scan an item's label and find them on amazon, you will not believe how much I went around the house scanning items

I love love this app. I use it on my galaxy s4 and its a go to app for me now. I sell on ebay, craigslist etc.. I use this app for quick product research while shopping in thrift stores and stuff. Any dvds ..toys.. products in a packaging .branded items.. items with a unique look all work well. Best things are vinyl records.. book covers are recognized great & quickly. If it has a bar code it always finds product. i love it ..it keeps a history of product u scan. . It is so simple and easy to use.

Yes, it is mostly for products, but wow it works. It can look at the cover of a book and tell you the isbn.

Great little app! Don't understand the people not liking app, it even recognized Sams Cola from Walmart for the exact price I paid. Maybe, directions weren't followed??? I scanned many items just for the hell of it, dead on everytime! Good Job
