Pool or billiards is a game played on a pool table with 6 pockets, 15 object balls, a cue ball, triangle, and a cue stick. The 15 object balls are further divided into 7 striped balls, 7 solid balls, and a black number eight ball. The 15 balls are "racked up" with the triangle; and one of the players shoots first and “breaks”, starting the game. The players take turns striking the white cue ball with the cue stick, attempting to knock a colored or striped ball into a pocket. To win in pool, the goal is to "sink" the black number 8 ball into a pocket, after all of your other balls have been sunk in. Players switch turns when no shot is made or when the cue ball is knocked into a pocket. If you accidentally knock the black 8 ball into a pocket early, you automatically lose the game.
