During his era, Ewing held the record for the most blocked shots in a NBA Finals Series and in a single game with 8 (records for a series now held by Tim Duncan and in a single game held by Dwight Howard with 9). Ewing was a New York Knick for almost all of his career, spending one year with the Orlando Magic and another with the Seattle SuperSonics. Ewing played an impressive 1,039 games in a Knick Uniform, the most of any other player in franchise history (no other previous players reached 1,000 games). Patrick Ewing played 1,183 games, averaged 21.0 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.4 blocks per game, and over a 50 percent shooting percentage from the field during his 16 seasons in the NBA. Ewing's jersey, Number 33 was retired by the Knicks, and hangs from the rafters at Madison Square Garden. He is considered as one of the greatest Knickerbockers, as well as one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA history. He was a member of the original Dream Team at the 1992 Olympic Games.
