About Accelerometer

Very functional application to work with accelerometer. Combines everything that most other apps have representing powerful all-in-one tool for research and fun. It includes:
- G-Force displaying screen. A point-like chart moving from left to right, from top to bottom under the gforce.
- Chart with ability to collect huge amount of data with different refresh rate, save and load it.
- Acceleration Speedometer. First speedometer based just on lateral and frontal acceleration forces. It uses accelerometer to calculate speed. You can measure the speed of such vehicles like metro, where GPS navigation does not work.

Feel free to write feedback messages to alexander.ponomarev.1@gmail.com, it will help me to improve the application

Testing the app by laying it flat on my couch and noticed it consistent accelerating. I stopped it when it reached 100km/h. The notes above advised the data is unreliable but there was instant and sustained acceleration as soon as app was started.

W70%
by W####:

Совсем не умеет мерить скорость. Алгоритм не умеет работать с накопленной ошибкой.

I love so much this app

R70%
by R####:

Well, it does log the accelerometer as it should. But the "acc integration" feature is useless, probably due to high jitter and inaccuracy of my galaxy note n7000 acc meter. After proper init, this app shows speed increase to 10kmh when phone is lying on a metro chair while the train is standing on the station. Speed increases when train is braking on the station. Useless.

If the scales were larger in the graph, it would have been awesome! Also pls add functionality like start/stop measuring button and option for saving graph!

Pretty neat.epecicially like color scheme of waveform and sensitivity is great.one app I had was too sensitive and entire display jumped.have similar waveform app for sound effect and audio wave analysis. This I recommend.just remember, this measures accelrative movement, not a speed indicator

U70%

I'd like the speedometer to read faster than the speed the earth turns at.... Mine goes up and up, I want to see how up it goes :)

Very nice! You've written a wonderful and genuinely useful program, thank you!!

Speed measurement does not work. After initialising it, speed meter starts counting non stop, counting even when stationey. Uninstalled. Xperia Mini

C70%

Just after you press initialize, it just begins counting up even at standstill. HTC wildfire.

Keep increasing non-stop. W8

App does what it's meant to do so I'm happy with it!

Simple little app with easy controls. Works great. The csv export is an awesome feature. Good work. :)

harmlessly force closes on Nexus

Ok really like the idea but, place it on the floor and I realize that never had a straight line. That means my floor is not stable?... Slight touch of my fingers and had 350 Klm speed and I stop it it was going for more ,or I'm Superman.any way needs fixing.4* only for the idea

C70%

Needs a "zero" option .....my phone rests at an angle on my motorcycle

R70%

Rarely gives an accurate speed, struggles to find reliable gps location for some reason when other apps do

Q70%

Awesome app. Inspired me to try location tracking. Wish I could fork it on github :-)

U70%
by U####:

Fun to play with, nice for data while driving. Would be nice if could calibrate to zero for when phone isn't sitting level.

D70%
by D####:

I had the same idea about the speedometer but i guess it can't be werry acurate, if we only had more precise a-meters...Only one question Why didn't u intagrate gyroscope you chuld then negate the gravity and u whuldn't have to hold your phone still...anyway good job. :)

Other than that, works well.

There should be a way to save and, or, play the graph data as waveform audio. I'm about this

Really functional well built app. Be good if you could use accelerometer function to measure short distances as a virtual ruler.

T70%
by T####:

The graph is confusing. The Y, X and Z values seem to be interrelated with the pitch and roll perhaps some explication would clarify, and i just do not understand. I would have thought X, Y and Z would be the acceleration in each vector, but, tilting the device and holding it in position yields values > 0 related to the angle of the tilt. I have not tried the speedometer.

R70%
by R####:

1. I expected to see the magnitude of the acceleration, as I am not very good in calculating square roots in my head in real time. 2. The colors are confusing. All the computer graphics world uses RGB for XYZ respectively, not for YZX. 3. Happens I need to buy the app to export the data. 4. Does not record data when the screen is turned off.

T70%
by T####:

When i use this app the X point always remains the same. In the graph I dont see a X line graph. Is there a problem with my accelerometer. Using nexus 7.

T70%
by T####:

Unlike AM, -It has an actual graph that saves and loads, (unlike AM that only loads a txt file log), -you can pan, and zoom on the graph.

T70%
by T####:

Running smoothly on my device. But it would be better if user can input their own refresh rate. E.g 100 Hz.

G70%
by G####:

Jus speed up the sensor rate. It's jolted but reads all movements. Tried it on other phones...all slow in graph mode
