About CSM
Municipal Recreation Centre project explores the possibilities of the development of Augmented Reality in the field of architecture. Starting from the system of work organisation GTD - Getting Things Done we assumed that the amount of information imposed in real space will continue to grow and it soon will be impossible to place it physically. The development of technology will allow application of free virtual space in order to expand the space for additional data allowing the user to explore space around easily.
The work is a study case of contact of these two realities: Virtual and Real. A simple form of the building is designed to show how they combine. For the author, it is important to show the border of these two worlds, not architecture. The building consists of two blocks connected by a common space. Each of the blocks is designed for other kinds of sports - wheeled and acrobatic. It is assumed that with the development of technology the real world with the virtual will connect also in the context of sports. Finally recreation contains not only sports, but also video games. Merging these realities creates new fields of sports and more attractive present ones.
