Cirebon

L’exposition documentaire Cirebon ou Les lumières d’un monde naufragé présente une épave datée de la fin du 10ième siècle de notre ère, découverte en mer de Java. Celle-ci est exceptionnelle d’une part par son contenu, constitué de plusieurs centaines de milliers d’objets, et d’autre part par l’état de conservation de l’ensemble (bateau et cargaison). Cette exposition temporaire, accompagnée d’un catalogue, est conçue pour être itinérante afin de permettre au plus grand nombre de découvrir cette exceptionnelle découverte.
L’exposition se base principalement sur les échantillons déposés pour étude. Même si au niveau scientifique, ces échantillons sont suffisants pour appréhender la cargaison, ils sont, pour certains, esthétiquement plus difficiles d’accès de par leur état fragmentaire. C’est pourquoi nous avons sélectionné une dizaine d’expôts pour les reconstituer en 3D (réalité augmentée). The documentary exhibition Cirebon or lights of a wrecked world presents a wreck dating from the late 10th century AD, discovered in Java Sea. It is exceptional in part by its contents, consisting of hundreds of thousands of objects, and also by the state of conservation of the whole (boat and cargo). This temporary exhibition, accompanied by a catalog, is designed to be shifting to allow the greatest number to discover this exceptional discovery.
The exhibition is mainly based on samples submitted for consideration. Even if the scientific level, these samples are sufficient to apprehend the cargo, they are, for some, aesthetically more difficult to access by their fragmentary state. That is why we have selected ten expôts to reconstruct in 3D (augmented reality).
