Easy Ukulele - Ukulele Tuner for Android
This specific tuner is aimed at those who play the ukulele, you should be able to swiftly and quickly tune your ukulele and not break any strings. I have sample notes for G String, C String, E String, and A String all at the right octave to ensure speed and accuracy for ukulele tuning.
Using the guiding notes plus the Auto-Tuner functionality most people tune their ukulele in 5-10 seconds with this ukulele tuner.
So whether you are playing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, “Hotel California”, or preparing for a big performance. This ukulele tuner will have your ukulele ready to go without breaking any strings.
I truly do love this app. It worked perfectly on my last phone, but now I have Android 5.0 Lollipop and the chromatic tuner doesn't seem to recognize the microphone. But if you have an older version of Android, and a ukulele with strings that need tuning, this is just the thing.
Its simple and easy to use, and its even better that I can use this rather than buy a tuner. The only downfall is the room must be quite or else you won't get an accurate tunning.
I usually use a Snark chromatic tuner attached to my ukulele. This app's chromatic tuner is slower than expected and the built in sounds for tunning by ear don't sound like they come from a ukulele. The ads are plentiful.
The tuner doesn't work super well on my phone. The needle flops all over the place. When I play cords they just don't sound quite right.
I used this for ages and loved it but now it doesn't register any sound! I've got it on 2 tablets and a phone and it's the same on all 3. With regret I'm going to uninstall :(
Most tuning apps have an unpleasant sound, maybe because they are aiming for more precision. This has a softer, broader tone, more like the sound of a nylon-string guitar or uke. One feature I wish it had was an option for a note to keep repeating until you finished tuning that string.
I don't know anything about instruments so when I tried out a few other tuners I was a little over my head. But this one made everything simple and that's all I could ask for when it comes to tuning a ukulele
Would help if it sustained the note so you could just tune it. Not stops ringing before I can pluck a string. The chronomatic part was ok.
What could you really expect out of a free Uke tuner? Well, this one let's you play the strings and/or listen to the tones, and both work great. Thanks!
Works well. Annoying pop up ads. Video pop up ads eating into my bandwidth. Would be happier with a paid version without ads. I will look for it.
The only problem is it isn't completely accurate with sounds sometimes, but that could very well be my phones microphones fault. I love this otherwise! My ukulele is constantly untuning itself so it's nice to have a tuner with me wherever I go.
Broke my clip on tuner so I tried it before a family gig and it worked very well.
Fabulous tuner. The ads are a little annoying - particularly as it turns off the chromatic tune when one pops up. Otherwise great.
Love it for my ukulele, and the chromatic tuner allows me to tune my guitars and mandolin as well. I have it on every device. I was unsure of how accurate the Hertz would be at first, but just trust it- it hasn't steered me wrong.
I used to use this uke tuner on my android and it worked perfectly! But it is now not working on my iPhone. This is the most user friendly app I found to tune my uke and I would love for it to work on my device.
I appreciate this app. I am a guitar player but I like to pick up the ukulele once in a while and I don't have an ear for tuning it without a tuner like I do with a guitar but I've playing guitar for 49 years ( I picked up my first guitar 2 days before my tenth birthday... but I should be a whole lot better than I am!) Anyhow thanks a million!
Still the best for uke, but chromatic tuning sadly won't work on my Samsung tablet (Galaxy Note P600, Android 4.4.2).
Only feature lacking would be the ability to have a single note played longer than just 4x in a row. Sometimes it takes me 20x to get it perfect and having to hit the button again takes my finger off the uke.
In the heat of a gig you don't want to be messing about with silly dial s this gives you the note and that is that !
Not bad. No indicator for sharp or flat while tuning, but I can deal with that. What I can't deal with is seeing the blinking "your phone is infected with a virus" ads for a fake virus cleaner. No thanks; there's other tuners without links to malware that my kids can click.
I used to use this uke tuner on my android and it worked perfectly! But it is now not working on my iPhone. This is the most user friendly app I found to tune my uke and I would love for it to work on my device.
My uke has never sounded better!
When it works, it is great. Very accurate and easy to use. However it often freezes and there is no response for a few minutes at a time. I end up waiting for 2 minutes to continue tuning. If the freezing was resolved, I would give this a 5, as it is easy and accurate.
This app has saved me plenty of times. My ukulele always go out of tune so this app is very useful!!!
I gave 2 stars bcuz It used to work great on my previous phone. Please fix.
Love this app but it is starting not to work using the auto tuner.. *1-22-2016 I'm using a Samsung edge+ and it doesn't pick up any notes using the auto tuner when I play notes, it shows nothing at all.
When using the chromatic tuner, the phone locks due to the screen not being used for a set period of time. Other than this, the app is very good and makes tuning easy. Would definitely rate 5 stars if the app kept the phone awake while tuning.
Would be 5 stars if it looked better almost a turn off it's so ugly lmfao
It works, but there should be some small things to make it better. 1. Auto start when launching the app, 2. Keep screen on or at least don't require a button-press to keep tuning, 3. Don't display ads in the very midst of tuning man, no one actually looks at them and most will be annoyed. Good luck!
Makes me and my Fender "Nohea". My "Kamaka" ...my "Lanikai"...my "Martin" and even da swap meet ukulele's sound like I know wat I doing wen I playing. ...now if I can just sing in tune! I b a 5 star too!!!
I used to really love this app. But just downloaded it onto s6 edge and the chromatic tuner won't work.
Great app. Can you make it so I can tune while I play the note at the same time?
It was horrible if I could I would give a zero star rating . It never would give me good tuning. Its not worth anyones time
Update: I downloaded on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and the Mic doesn’t work. Please fix.
Gone from 5 stars to 1.
It does what it says it does and does it accurately, if you don't like it you are most likely not using it right.
Worked a whole lot better then the first tuner I tried. Like that it plays tones. Liked permissions required (1) Hate the Ads, and the forced "pop-up ads" that have to be "X-ed" out and closed to use.
This app allows both tuning by ear and chromatic tuning. I've checked it against my electronic tuner and it's right on. Unlike most electronic tuners, if your uke is way out of tune or you're installing new strings, it gives you the note to tune to. If you carry your phone you will always have good tuner.
It's easy to use and the chords are just on it's right. Don't have to waste money to go for an electric tuner. Will give five stars if the screen shuts off problem fix.

Worked fine on 4.3 but since downloading in my new phone which is 5.0 the chromatic tuner doesnt register any sound. It also appears in the app tray under a different name than the play store listing. Not sure if its a bug but i couldnt send feedback as there was no option in the app for that.
