US Birding Checklist (demo) for Android
Don't bother with this trash
What I really want is an app that allows me to create a special list (ie a year list) and it should also automatically add it to my Life List. How can I keep track of one year, and then start another list the next year, but still maintain my life list?
impressed enough with the free version, I DL'd the full. was puzzled by other reviewers comments on "no photos" and not being able to search by area. app states "Photos and sounds are downloaded separately". under filters tab you can "set region" western, midwest, south, northeast, canada and hawaii.
Would like further descriptions and photos of at least some of the birds!
I first downloaded the demo and it worked fine. I spent a lot of time (no search feature on demo) listing my life birds. I bought the dollar checklist for the search feature to save time. I downloaded the app to my phone and things looked fine. That is until the next morning. When I looked at the list the next morning, it was wiped clean. All the work I did was gone. I emailed Duncan Watson who wrote me back and (seemed like a nice guy) said that the information was probably on my SD card. I looked and indeed I had a Bird Families folder on my card but they were blank. I tried to list part of my birds again and saved after each bird listed. The list was empty each day after I tried. Ugh. This application is just nasty. I can't believe all these good reviews are real. I had a HTC EVO. I don't care about the dollar. I'm just disgusted because of the time I put into creating my life's list and poof. Peter Peter
Because there are no ph photos to help you. Why can't you limit the list by area.
Far better than carrying around a pad of paper. I'm looking forward to updating to the FULL version. Thanks!
Not showing bird images. GNex.
The list itself is good & pretty easy to navigate, but the observation logging is a bit clunky and I can't get eBird to import from this app's files.
LOVE IT! FULL VERSION PLEASE!
I can't wait for the full version
Excellent checklist. Used it on "Birdathon" to record the 75 species I saw in VA.
Would pay for photos and sound clips.
Very nice! Especially for a free version. I will gladly pay for full version
Wonderful application. Would be nice if it had search capability for state and month/season. Would gladly pay app fee when full version is released
Repeatedly forced application to close when attempting rouse the logging link. Also did t always return to the app from the web link. Great idea!
Did you forget the Pueo, the hawaiian owl? Couldn't find it. Otherwise, great program. Hankpac at yahoo dot com.
I've been birding since '81 & this makes it even easier to log my sightings! Love it!
Great, esp for a demo version. I almost never have my bird books with me, so it makes on the go list tracking easy.
Really?, would i upgrade if the demo didn,t include images.
How useless. No images.
