1844 wurde der Tierschutzverein für Hannover gegründet und gehörte damit zu den ersten Tierschutzvereinen Deutschlands. Im vereinseigenen Tierheim betreuen wir jedes Jahr rund 4.000 Tiere. Wir fordern eine tiergerechte Haltung von „Nutztieren“ und das Verbot tierquälerischer Haltungsformen.

1844 ASPCA for Hannover was founded, making it one of the first animal welfare associations in Germany. In the club's own shelter, we serve approximately 4,000 animals each year. We call for a proper housing of "farm animals" and the ban on animal tormenting husbandry.
