Privat Aids Aktivist Uwe Görke

Zwei Jahrzehnte hat Uwe Görke-Gott im Alleingang Aids-Aufklärung betrieben. Nun wird er für sein Engagement mit der Verdienstmedaille der Bundesrepublik Deutschland geehrt.

Dass Uwe Görke seit geraumer Zeit zusätzlich Gott in seinem Nachnamen führt, hat eigentlich einen banalen, aber sehr schönen Grund: 2010 heiratete er seinen Lebenspartner Benjamin Gott und übernahm dessen Familienamen. Nicht alle haben das mitgekriegt, und tatsächlich bekam Uwe Görke, nunmehr Uwe Görke-Gott, genau solche Kommentare zu lesen, wie er sie schon hatte kommen sehen: „Jetzt dreht der Typ ja völlig ab!“

Uwe kann über dieses Missverständnis zum Glück lachen. Daran, dass man ihn für einen Selbstdarsteller, Profilneurotiker oder einfach nur für ein bisschen verrückt hält, hat der 48-Jährige in den vergangenen 20 Jahren oft genug erleben müssen.
