Ein Beginn der Wiederbelebung durch Laien verbessert die Überlebensrate um das zwei- bis dreifache, denn bereits mit einer einfachen Herzdruckmassage kann der Restsauerstoff im Blut zirkulieren und so bis zum Eintreffen des Rettungsdienstes die Überlebenswahrscheinlichkeit entscheidend erhöhen. Andere Länder zeigen uns, dass Kurzschulungen in Schulen und Büros die Laienreanimationsrate auf mehr als 70% steigern.
