Schützenverein Varlar

Wir sind ein traditioneller Schützenverein, an Hand der Königskette nachweislich gegründet 1835.

Unser Schützenverein besteht aus den Nachbarschaften rund um das Schloss Varlar, welches in
den Jahren vor 1800 ein Kloster des Praemonstratenser Ordens war. Schon seit 1732 haben Bedienstete des Klosters an umliegenden Schützenfesten teilgenommen und sind auch da König geworden.

Wir veranstalten jedes Jahr an Fronleichnam unser traditionelles Schützenfest in der Festscheune auf Schloss Varlar. Am darauf folgenden Samstag findet der 2. Schützenfest - Ballabend statt.
