About TIP10RF

Use your smartphone or tablet to operate your X10 devices.
The TIP10RF is the interface between the X10 and smartphone or tablet and is connected directly to your network router using the supplied network cable.
The TIP10RF sends commands wirelessly to the nearest transceiver, e.g. a TM13 or CM15Pro.(433 MHz).
Works without a computer: no need to leave your computer turned on.
The TIP10RF will be automatically detected when used within a home network. When used outside the home network, the router should be set to NAT or Port Forwarding.
Works excellently in combination with a CM15Pro because of the built-in transceiver, macro function, programmable timers, etc.

Difficult to setup because the Mac address is not printed on the box and had to use scan IP program to discover. Then set up a static IP address on the dhcp server against the Mac. Features work but are basic and I would like to see the features of the Marmitek remote allowing All On, All Off and the programming of Macros.

An improved version.

The configuration is easy in local mode on the same lan, but impossible in remote mode because some internet provider don't allow remote access, Haibrain should offer a server for this connection.

Worked OK earlier this week. New updated version can't find device & doesn't seem to read in existing config - so right now doesn't work at all :-( ...... update: I've persevered, restarting the RF device & the app now discovers it. Needed to manually re-config devices, but now back up and running. New layout is good. Very useful tool.

New release didn't work easily. Eventually got it working. It needed a reboot. Twice! Now loaded 25 devices and sort doesn't work. So it is not very user friendly. Suggestion: introduce a 'room' grouping to make user experience better and allow user to change the horrible pink background to a jpg.

This App LOOKs like it ought to be really useful. The TIP10RF hardware just plugs in simply, and correctly registers itself with DHCHP. So far, so good. However, the app does not locate the hardware. Running on Nexus Lollipop devices. Haibrain have not responded to any of my emails, which is a bad sign. I suspect the issue is something really simple, as others have this working, although quite a few do not.

Took quite a lot of attempts to get the app to locate the TIP10RF hardware on the network - it keeps timing out - but keep trying and eventually it finds it successfully. I've now got this working on both my Android KitKat phone and Jelly Bean tablet. Works very well over my WiFi. The colour scheme could do with being adjustable and I'd prefer to be able to sort the channels as I wish rather than being forced to have them alphabetical. Most importantly though it works and is very convenient.

It keeps crashing on my Note 2 and on my SG3 blocks the whole OS..and then a restart is needed.

This App simply doesn't work; in converting the format from the old Marmitek version to the new Haibrain version they have managed to break it. The old Marmitek version worked well but unfortunately has been removed from Google Play. I have tried this version on Android 2.3.6 and 4.4.2 and in both cases it just hangs - completely useless. Worse still I have contacted Haibrain support but they don't respond. Perhaps this is a message to give up on X10 and move to something better supported. Google should remove this software from Google Play since it is dysfunctional. I used to be a fan of Marmitek - not any more!

Works sometimes, but most of the time doesn't work.

Crashed every time. Marmitek version much better.
