Not supported by my device, Samsung j2 android.

When I first lit up this app it had an advertisement saying I had a phone virus and I should click on the ad. This is totally bogus. My phone has no viruses. Obviously this ad is malware that will plant a virus when you click on it. I want none of this trash on my phone. It is gone. Why Android store allows this crap is a mystery.

Yes, the GUI is ridiculous, and the scale is not tracking well with my actual light meter, but its close enough in a narrow band for my purposes. I just needed precision to .05 fc. BTW foot-candles should not be abbreviated "ft". Ridiculous! The illumination recommendations could easily be on another tab. I work in FC and they values are calculated from lux, but the IES recognizes a factor of 10, so there is no need for that level of accuracy in indoor lighting.

But the interface is a little crude. Also, I got this app because I work at a theater, and I was amused to see the typo "threaters" in there.

I like the apps but not an expert in this. Can you explain to me the purpose of the calibration setting? My understanding is once you set it to 1 this should be the benchmark regardless of environmental condition.

Great idea for an app, and I love all the data it gives you, but on my Galaxy Nexus, it doesn't take control of the camera's auto exposure. Therefore, you can't get absolute readings out of it. I've even seen it report less light when I turned the light on, and that's because the camera auto-adjusted the exposure of the frame.

This is the only remotely useful incident light meter app I have found in Google play so far (2015-04-04) since it allows some calibration.
