I had to give it 1 star..but that's a lie. This system sucks!!!!

I have a samsung galaxy s5 and my spouse has a samsung galaxy s7 and the app works on both phones, but only like for 30 seconds to a minute, then it will force close. The system works great at home as far as the cameras, but the app does need alot work. Feel free to contact me on any upgrades for this app. I hope you guys are working on the issue.

Tried everything, have had tech people try, nothing has worked. It's kind of a rip off a big company like this can't afford to fix their app when we are all spending hundreds on each of these units.

Can't zoom in or out, can't edit the color, brightness or contrast. It's always showing a error message when trying. Swan needs to upgrade the app. People are spending lot of money for the Camera system and small things like the app for it doesn't work.

I'm a new small business owner who opened shop on a tight bugdet. Using swann is the biggest waste of 700$. Remote/mobile playback doesn't work properly. This app hasnt been updated since 2015, which is absolutely ridiculous. Swann, don't release products when they're not ready.

This is my second Swann system.i feel the system itself is good for the value.but the apps always need work. This and the older system I had, the apps always freeze. This one works a few times then must be force stopped and started to work again. Needs digital zoom and faster load time.

I have the swann pro series HD 4 channel 2 cameras. Cameras work fine. But im having problems with live view. No live view. Can you please, tell me on what phone does the app work better with. Please help which phone is better compatable with this app?

Worst app I ever used. Won't connect to cameras no matter how closely you follow instructions. Tech support is a joke, I knew more than they did about the app. How this company stays in business with such lousy customer service is a mystery. All techs do is have you Uninstall and reinstall dozens of times. That's not a solution , anyone can do that on their own.

I'm pretty tech savvy and no matter what I do I can not connect via the app. I used to be able to, but not in the last year or so. Swann systems and their tech support are worthless if you want to connect remotely. I strongly suggest using a different company. I rarely review items, but I spent a lot of money in an NVR and cameras only to not be able to monitor my home remotely.

Last update February of 2015?? This app takes long time to load up camera stream . Playback menu very hard to read . App Definitely needs work and update. Swann view plus for Windows Pc crashes or freezes up as well. My older swann cam system used a Swann app that worked like a charm . Will give 5 stars if updated and fixed

Like the app but can only pull up live view on my phone when connected to wifi at home. It defeats the purpose of using my phone while I'm out because it doesn't load.

The security system is great but this app SUCKS!!!! Not really sure what this app can do can never get it to function properly! Works one day, doesn't work the next. Have to frequently delete and reinstall when it malfunctions. Not able to use app when I'm away from home, which is one of the main reason I purchased a security system.

I'm using it on my Nexus 2013 tablet. Swannview doesn't obey the system screen rotation settings. The UI is unintuitive. App freezes when remote DVR has slow connection. I have my tablet screen rotation locked, but Swannview rotates regardless. Very frustrating when I'm using it lying down. Having said that, it does work. It is let down by a poor user experience.

When is this thing going to have a update? And why does it time out when I have it set for NEVER? This is very VERY irritating and frustrating... PLEASE FIX , and it would be nice to access my dvr settings or be able to adjust some lighting or something on the app... I give it 3 stars ... Note 4, Tab 4 ,Galaxy S6 Edge

Was expecting much better from Swann, purchased Swann to replace a cheap dvr and 16 camera security system that worked perfectly fine for 7 years. Its remote app worked like a Swiss watch. On the other hand, Swann remote viewing app sucks big time, someone could literally break into your house, clean it out and be long gone before this app starts showing you anything on the screen. Using Galaxy s5 Active.

It just doesn't do what it is supposed to do. It's a shame. Nice camera system but one of the worst apps that I have ever used. Can't believe that Swann could put out such a subpar application go their cameras. Doesn't even have a zoom feature and won't recognize it's own cameras or dvr.

If I had seen the reviews before I bought this system I would have never brought it so I am glad I didn't. ...It was recommended by a friend who also has the 2015 Swann system and had no problems with its operations as I also do not... I bought it from best buy, paid to professionally have it installed and properly programmed to my Samsung android cell phone, android tablet, iPad, and imac..... No complaints, SPEND your $$$$ for the right install and it will work........

I use it all the time on night shift during breaks, to check on the house. Easy to set up if you think it through carefully. The night vision is awesome, especially bright when ground is snow covered. Should only use eMail 'event alerts' for interior cameras, as outdoor cameras will fill your inbox with flying insects, rain, snow & spiderwebs moving in the breeze !!! App camera views ( i use 4 cams at same time ) divide my Nexus phone screen into 4 quadrants. Telus is my carrier. Great app.

Have Note 5 and it's doing fine. Works well on my Surface 3 also. Takes about 6 seconds for view to come up. Nice clear pictures. Scrolling works well too. Only wish I could zoom on app. That would be a nice feature to add Swann engineers!❤❤❤

Not complete out of the box and no info to go with it. Glad for me I knew better. You have to go looking for all info yourself. App sucks and could be better but works half the time

The app doesn't work properly on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S6), I have to reset my whole phone and that sometimes doesn't work. I wish there was a reset button within the app itself for a reset. Or just fix it all together!!! Not happy with this app at all. I many use it as a nanny cam and can't view the daily activities till I go home. No bueno!!! :/

Nothing but problems from day 1, I've been on customer service so many times. My laptop won't play my cameras, they claim "DVD needs reset" my phone won't connect says "license expired" I'm so tired of calling customer service for my system. I now have a business that is unmonitered from either my cell phone or my laptop...Do not buy Swann products u till some major overhaul!!!

I purchased a swan 16 camera unit.. 1080 DVR.. Lot of money,, and the software is complicated !!!.. I purchased a Lorex system.. same resolution.. Piece of cake easy to use.... I bought both systems through Costco thank goodness because they have concierge services.. I would never ever ever be able to make the Swan system work if it wasn't for the support of Swan and Costco....but once working beautiful picture !

System barely functions. I had this app work for about a month and now it won't connect so I can see my business from my phone or laptops and now will have to sell these cameras for half of what I paid for and buy a system that actually works. Do not buy Swann products

Have had a swann system previously, which used the swann view app. Never had a single problem. Since using this app, it constantly drops out, logs out, doesn't recognise the pvr again once you log out/ clise the app and you are forced to re install the app and reconfigure the pvr. NOT HAPPY!

App works very slow when on Wi Fi, 3G or 4G. Works a little bit faster when on home Wi Fi network over 3G or 4G. The playback function takes forever to load and there is no push notifications functions. My phone is a Samsung S4 mini.

works a treat on the Swann with 735 cameras, easy to set up over Wifi and connection is seamless. Has crashed a few times but that's the only problem I have had on my Samsung S3

All these swann apps have more problems with them than you can shake a stick at. Having to view my swann cameras from Meye app. COME ON SWANN GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER. The next cctv system I buy definitely won't be a Swann.

Didn't really have any instructions but figured it out easily enough, just added a device and scanned the qr code on our dvr and we were set. Let's us check up on the house when we're not home. Not going to say it's the best quality viewing, but it's streaming from the house so I understand.

Cameras are working fine but the app sucks. Live View is always going in and out and when it does play sometimes it isn't playing at all, like it is on a still frame. i am with the other this is useless if you can't view your camera remotely. SWANN you need to start replying back to us and help us figure out these problems. i am still under my 30 days to bring them back and go with Lorex instead.

I can't begin to tell you all the problems I have had with this system. It is not user friendly, tech support is bad, u will wait 15 mins or more to get someone live to talk to and if you can understand them, good luck. I had a professional company install my system and that part was great, ran a separate line for each camera but the DVR is such a problem to manage, I was trying to save money by buying this system and having it installed, but guess what, I am paying one hell of a price. Never again.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5, and this app rarely works correctly. It worked "okay" at first, but I started getting remote playback errors. It would playback footage part way, then an error message appears. Now the live view won't load. It's now rare that I can actually see footage using my mobile phone. Poor programming.

I can only see my cameras with this app when I'm connected to the same wifi as the cameras. About 2 weeks ago it worked fine away from home but now it doesn't work

I can only view short pieces of video playback and the app tends to freeze up more often than not! Would love it if they could do some updating!

App is useless. It shows "loading" without ever actually loading. This is while I'm sitting directly next to router so it's not a connectivity issue. I was on hold for 20 min. before reaching a human on tech support. We were on the phone together for 2 hrs with my issue still unresolved. She was difficult to understand and rude, telling me it "wasn't her problem" that the mobile app wasn't working. Wow.

Much worse than the SwannView Link app. Takes ages to load and to close, the icons are pointless as they unclear even on a large phone and the app is so slow that if you press the wrong icon you'll just end up cursing. Don't try to be clever and make it look all swish, just make it work like the older one does. I'm only using it because for some reason I have to with the new DVR I've got, whereas I used to be able to use the Link app which is much better at doing exactly the same things!

This app used to be great, now it won't work on my mobile network anymore. It will only work on my home wifi which defeats the purpose of the system. Update April 6 2016... Emailed support 2 weeks ago, no response yet... Very disappointed!

WTF? It's not like you guys weren't aware it was coming. Very disappointing. As soon as I updated my device I noticed this app was having issues. It's always been ridiculously slow and a tad bit buggy but it's pretty much unusable right now and since it hasn't been updated in 10 months, I'm not holding out a lot of hope that a fix is coming soon.
