StarIO SDK

The StarIO SDK application enables to print a variety of customizable samples made for Star Micronics Point of Sale Desktop receipt printers and Portable printers. Also, test a wide variety of customizable samples and functionality made especially for Star Micronics printers.

This application demonstrates the powerful flexibility of Star Micronics printer connections by enabling users to connect their Star printer to an Android device via Bluetooth, USB or Ethernet.

Functionality is catered to printer type and includes:
- Get Star Printer and Cash Drawer Status
- Get Star Printer model name and firmware version
- USB printer Discovery
- Print a Sample Receipt, Customizable Text, Customizable Graphical Data, and Image File
- Print Customizable 1D and 2D Barcodes
- Open a Cash Drawer connected to Star Printer or DK-AieCash
- Test Different Cut Patterns
- Test Star Mobile Printer Magnetic Stripe Reader
- Change a Bluetooth or USBsetting of the printer
- ProxiPRNT
ProxiPRNT function does not support mPOP and Portable printers.

NOTE: Android V3.1 and higher support USB, Ethernet and Bluetooth.
Android V2.2, V2.3 and V3.0 support Bluetooth (V2.3.3 later) and Ethernet.
Android V2.1 and lower support only Ethernet.

NOTE: Default password for open cash drawer is 1234.
