This is the same as the free version except you would be helping the development of the app by buying it !
This is an app to browse Voat. It has complete basic functionality: login, inbox, comment, vote, etc.
I plan on investing a lot more time on this app, I'll try to listen to users feedback and gradually improve and implement missing features.
Please suggest new ideas on /v/boats or via email
Features:
- Complete basic functionality, login, comment, vote, subscribe, subverse sidebar, user basic info
- Gallery mode to browser photos
- White, Dark and AMOLED themes. (User requested)
- Left-handed mode. (User requested)
- Download/share images in browser.
- Sort hot/new/top all/ top year/ top month/ etc
- Disable loading of thumbnails to conserve data. (User requested)
Permissions:
- Read/Write permission: This is only needed to be able to save images on the device from the built-in browser.
For people who don't know what Voat is:
Voat.co is a website that's similar to Reddit, but a lot of people prefer it because of a few reasons:
- It promises no censorship
- It has a nice small community (for now!)
- The website interface is a lot more feature-rich compared to Reddit without using browser plugins.

I started out looking for a Voat app shortly after all the censorship on Reddit pushed Voat into the spotlight. I came across the developer talking about creating an app if there was enough interest and the thread blew up. This dev goes out of his way to add features and listen to feedback. He is quick to reply and always nice. I supported his work so we don't lose another amazing Android dev thanks to people thinking every app should be free!!!! You won't regret it if you decide to support his work too!!!!

The only problem I have with this app is making it easier to save pictures. Maybe giving an option to choose a folder on Android? Other than that, pretty much perfect.

I have been eager for a donation version of the app. What a great way to show appreciation to the developer for not only making this amazing and always improving app but also for continuing to offer it for free for those who (hopefully) will be able to afford to purchase the gold version down the road. Thank you! Edit: If you liked Reddit Sync, this app is as good or better in many ways!

I've posted the following on the support sub, review for visibility. The app worked wonderfully up until a few weeks ago (I assume voat changed something on their end), but now the username of all comments shows as [deleted], self posts do not show what OP wrote, clicking the link for a self post does not load the post (hangs at white screen), and the loading time for links in the browser seems longer. Fix these issues and its 5 stars for sure.
