RemoteControl for Winamp

The best remote control for winamp. Period. It even works with Lollipop. I haven't had a single problem with this app. It is highly recommended to set a static IP address for your laptop and PC. Now if only the dev is reviving this project..... I would really love to see new interface or even new features. Thanks!

I love the fact that you don't have to install programs on the pc and to open additional programs, just copy the plugin in its folder and you are good to go. And another thing i appreciate is the fact that the app doesn't bug you to rate it. I normally don't leave reviews but i made an exception here for these reasons.

Works so good! It controls my computer winamp from the app! I can search though and create playlists as it plays and even control the volume! ... ... once you get it working. Difficult to install the plug-in on computer and connect

There's something important missing: being able to type addresses rather than IPs for the server! If you have a dynamic IP which can be accessed via a DNS Server then you're out of luck and can't use this app unless you are at home. Too bad :(

OK bare with me I'm typing on my phone. Users who are having issues wit the installation, just click cancel to continue the install. It said it needed a c++ file and I have the newest one. It does work, just use latest ver. It should work and install will finish. I use this for nights. It could do more but I will not complain.

Too bad development is frozen. I've used it for years but it needs balance and EQ control and a better text display of what's playing. Add that to a paid version and I'd buy it. Lightweight and efficient. ...

It is working fast and controls the winamp smoothly. Playlist is also available. A few bug, like when the play list is changed on the main app on my pc but not on this app in mobile. You need to reconnect to refresh the list.

A great app. One thing that let it down. The app and winamp would crash if winamp received input rather than the app. Would Dec reinstall if fixed

Used to work fantastic. Since the latest Winamp update works terribly, constant disconnects. That's if I'm even lucky enough to get it connected

I can lay on the couch with my headphones and have the long cable run to my headphone amp and remotely play and pause and change the song in the playlist with ease without touching the computer. Works great :) like others have said, it would be nice to have more functionality like being able to search the library instead of being bound to playlists, but it works well.

Am removing one star.. As there is no option for complete library.. Only temporary play list added

When connection between phone and computer is lost winamp always crashes on windows 7. I'm about to uninstall it. other than that,works great,but I dont want to keep crashing winamp.

Works perfectly on HTC ONE for controlling a playlist, queuing songs, volume, changing songs and stop & start playback. You just need to put the pc's up address in the app and you're gold. Would get 5 stars if you could switch between playlists

It does what it says. Controls the basic functions of Winamp. It's fast and very easy on resources. But I would like it to be developed into a more advanced app.

It sometimes loses connection when queueing songs. Never does that when simply jumping to files though. Good app but needs to be fixed

Pretty average app. Can't browse my library, modify playlists, etc. Needs more than just a simple search feature.

Great looking, simple and easy to use interface. Use way too much CPU. Watchdog Lite is constantly throwing alerts due to this app. No crashes or FCs for me. Phone: Samsung Galaxy S I9000

Would like to see the option to add/remove items in the playlist. Also, when I queue files through the remote, 9 times out of 10, it doesn't work. Every once in a while it will queue the file(s), but most of the time, that function doesn't work.

Not bad. Not great. No ads as far as I can tell. I can read the playlist without having to focus on very small text on my TV, and the developer isn't taking any ad revenue. It's a useful tool, but not as feature rich as apps like the Kodi/XBMC remote. Would be nice to be able to change the track order, but hey, you get what you pay for.

Loved it. It could be brilliant if you could add a new song to the current playlist.... Anyway just perfect!!!

Ignore the warning there's a newer version of VC++ installed then click cancel to continue or OK to cancel (!)... but after manually entering the correct IP (it doesn't even default to the same subnet the phone's on; careful not to delete any periods, because the numpad it gives you doesn't have one), the app still won't connect to the server, probably because the installer doesn't open holes in the firewall (end users should NOT have to disable FW's or AV scanners to troubleshoot programmers' mistakes).

As many others have pointed out, it's a bit useless when it only works with playlists. We need full library access or it's a waste of space. 2 stars because I appreciate the effort, but it would only be 1 for functionality.

Very nice tool! But can you change the IP-Inputfield, so i can type DynDns-adresses too? I've no Wlan, but can reaches my PC via Dyndns.

It only lacks the ability to input address as an actual address, rather than just as numbers. Having that would be useful for people that have set up dynamic dns server for themselves, so that they can always be reached over the same address when not on the local network. In other words, this only works in LAN and I don't see a reason for such limitation.

With large playlists it laggs a bit on my phone when searching, and it would be nice to access my entire library. But great job! Thank you!

Easy setup, Reliable, nice interface. Does what it should do flawlessly. Can not browse the media library or access the equlizer, but does not claim to be able to do so either.

Not super smooth. But a great toy and a nice additional for my mediaplayer over that I already have for this purpose. Just what I need. On thing, the playlist sync does not work well. Wish could browse my library and playlists in my woman also.

Saved me $250.00 trust that would have been spent on a Bluetooth speaker.

Ok, Winamp just crashed and this remote app was uninstalled from the android. eh? Other crashes have been less serious, this one was the worst yet!

I just freaking love this app! Perfect for BBQs in summer in the own garden. No more taking the keyboard with you (: Unfortunately many FCs when using it.. Improve it (adding Media from Media Library to playlist etc), stabilize it and I'll definitely support this project!

If you are looking to mainly play/pause/skip tracks, then this remote is wonderful. It is pretty limiting that you must choose songs from the current playlist. If the ability to choose playlists (and ideally view the "smartviews" then this app would be perfect.

I can play, stop, next the songs turn up and down the volume tested with windows 7 and android jelly bean. for the c++ error only skip it :D

It takes a bit of know how to set up, you need to know your computer's IP address and may need to open a port on your firewall. But once you get it setup the controls are elegant and the response time is snappy. I agree with the other comments, it really does need the ability to acces the entire winamp library. When it gets that feature I'll come back and give it 5 stars.

May take a bit of fiddling getting the ip address between the pc and phone the same, and actually getting it to connect, but the actual webpage issues page is really helpful! Loving it

Using Samsung Galaxy SII with CM9. Took 10 seconds to set up. Syncs perfectly and responds immediately, whether using the app or controlling winamp on my computer (Pause on computer immediately shows on phone, for instance) Never wrote a review or rated an app, but this just deserves it. Brilliant.

I can't connect, it says 'timeout' everytime i try to connect.
