রোজার দোয়া নিয়ত ও আমল -Ramadan

রোজা ফারসি শব্দ। এর অর্থ হচ্ছে দিন। যেহেতু এই আমলটি দিনের শুরু থেকে শেষাংশ পর্যন্ত পালন করা হয় তাই একে রোজা বলা হয়। আর আরবিতে এর নাম সাওম বা সিয়াম। যার শাব্দিক অর্থ কোনো কাজ থেকে বিরত থাকা। সুবহে সাদিক থেকে সূর্যাস্ত পর্যন্ত সকল প্রকার পানাহার এবং সেই সাথে যাবতীয় ভোগ-বিলাস থেকেও বিরত থাকার নাম রোজা। ইসলামী বিধান অনুসারে, প্রতিটি সবল মুসলমানের জন্য রমজান মাসের প্রতিদিন রোজা রাখা ফরজ বা অবশ্য পালনীয়।
