My phone has every feature I need, except the ability to put it on silent. It's either ring or vibrate. This app lets me schedule the silent times (ie work, church) and saves the battery by not vibrating every 5 minutes. Awesome.

E70%
by E####:

Works intermittently, sometimes doesn't come on quite often doesn't switch off. No experience of anyone trying to call while it's on but it does seem to silence when it's active. Just can't rely on it to actually activate or deactivate properly. Please fix!

I downloaded this because it never failed my phone would ring or get an email late at night and wake my baby up and my phone, Stratosphere, did not have an option to silence the phone without either just putting on vibrate or turning it off. The only thing I don't like about this app is that there are certain people you can allow to come through, regardless if it is set on silent time and they never work. Wanted to have immed family to come through in case of an emergency, but they haven't ever come throug

Needs an updated and more logical interface but once configured there's not much to see anyway. Will still vibrate on occasion during silenced schedules, even with the check box cleared. Other than that, a solid app that does it's job well.

I first started using silence time on my galaxy s2 in college. Every semester I would input my class schedule and never had any issues. Now I use it to keep my phone on vibrate during work hours, still works great!

U70%
by U####:

I'm using it and works great!!! the only flaw i find is with the widget, because it only works if you set time with + or - buttons: it won't work if you edit time with the keyboard. Other than that it's a very good and reliable app. Thanks!

Since ringer and notification volumes became permanently linked in Android 4.x for some retarded reason, I'd been searching for a way to silence notifications at night but still let the phone ring. This app does the job with its caller exception feature. Needs an ICS theme update and some more robust functionality to the exceptions list, but otherwise it's great!

Just downloaded app on my tablet since i kept trying to go into my settings and it would stop about 5-10 seconds at the most after opening so i figured i would go into setting on my phone turn silent mode off and download the app on my phone also so i can set different times for my phone to go onto silent mode since my phone only let me set up one specific time for the silent mode could be used i believe

Welcomed concept, but JB and Lollipop broke things on my Samsung Galaxy S4. Comes out of silent mode, but notification sounds do not return to normal levels. Also exceptions are hit and miss. Please update.

At first this worked fine. But now I am getting ‘alerts’ in 3 in the morning from my bank, etc. That’s why I got it. I’m not sure why this is happening, have went over my preferences several times and still does it. I will delete and re-install maybe that will fix it. And I donated $5.00 bucks. Arrrrgggh. 11:30pm and just reinstalled it. JUST got notification alarm ring from Amazon purchase. This DOES NOT WORK ON MY MOTO G.

This is perfect for students who forget to silence their phones and for people who just want a great night sleep. I love the feature to allow specific contacts to still call even when in do not disturb mode. I have been looking for an app like this for awhile and this beat my expectations. Update this apps features is a standard feature in the latest version of android. So I no longer need the app but I highly recommend it to any one with a older version of Android

I work midnights, plus often work afternoons too so I have to get good sleep in the morning/early afternoon. This app allows only important callers through. I thought it was malfunctioning at first but either it was me our the bugs were worked out since. I really like the widget that allows you to quickly apply the app for a given length of time. This is a valuable app for me. Even though it is free I tried to Donate through it but it is unclear if that is operable, so instead I give it my highest rating.

Always forgot to turn my phone to silent at night, and then again to ringing out on the day. This is now an issue of the past! Can set separate silent periods on a weekly timer, as many as you like. There's an option to for it to alert you when activating or releasing, and you can have a permanent notification to (un)snooze the alarm. No glitches yet.

U70%
by U####:

I no longer need to remember to turn off sound before going to bed, excellent :) However, I've noticed that if Silent Time is set to turn off at the same time an alarm is set, the alarm won't go off. Set it to a minute later and it works fine. Quite inconvenient if you don't realize!

U70%
by U####:

Pressing it does not turn it off in notifications anymore. Does what I wanted. You schedule when you want audio to work. No more having to remember to turn audio up and down! The quick quiet feature is nice for meetings, but in my phone screen where it shows active stuff, it pushes the end time off the screen so hard to tell when it ends. Can you wrap that text. I cant click on it bc that ends it.

I've been using this app for years and loved it. But now it isn't working. Maybe it is lollipop. If you do a quick silent, app is in notification bar but sometimes the phone volume does NOT show as muted. And my phone still rings. Happened during a movie and then during a play. Can no longer trust this app sadly.

app was working great for a week, i did a OS upgrade on my sensation 4g and now it doesn't work. it turns off the ringer and NO calls come in. i wrote to the developers and it's been a few days and no answer. thank god cause i was about to hit the donate button, but now.... don't know. i will wait 1 more week for a reply or resolve then i'm moving on to the next app.

Brilliant to be able to keep the phone quiet when you're in bed, a meeting or whatever situation yet still allows me to accept important calls such as from my children or any vital numbers. Does bug me that the notification light flashes for no reason though. If that was fixed I would give 5 stars.

U70%
by U####:

Like the title, quick quiet no longer works. Set it for 1 hour and nothing happens. No notification that it is active. No change in the sound icon and it still let's Facebook sounds play. Otherwise the planned quiet times are working OK. Please fix. Update.... Some bits now work OK, but it does not silence Facebook actions or the Facebook "pop" noise. So not so silent.

U70%
by U####:

I love everything about this app except that the exceptions don't work. It blocks all sounds including those on the exception list. I really want my family to be able to reach me even in the middle of the night, so I will have to look for something else.

Z70%

I have been using this for the past three years, and it has never let me down. I make a schedule, option for vibrate alert, hit save, and forget about it. Great for my work schedule. I have never used the exceptions feature though. ~update~ when updating the days, you must un-select and re-select the schedule for it to update. -1 star

U70%
by U####:

The more I use this app, the more I like it. I use it to automatically quiet my phone at 10:00 and turn the sounds back on at 6:00. I have scheduled exceptions for people I want to hear from no matter what time of day or night (those who would call me late only in case of an emergency). I use it to quiet my phone automatically for church, and I temporarily set it when we are in a public place where phone calls are not appropriate such as a theater or auditorium. Best thing is that I don't have to remember to turn my sound back on when the event is over. I highly recommend this app.

U70%
by U####:

This app is very good in its class, but there is no real way to contact the developer with bugs (and there are a few). Otherwise, I would give it five stars. Ok, today noticed that "exception calls" doesn't really work. Dumping it.

I have used this app for years and it was a great tool. I don't mind the gingerbread look, because it simply worked in the background. However, in 5.0, the silent times default to priority mode, rather than full silent. Why use a silent app in lollipop? Because the silent time scheduling is still limited and also defaults to priority, and I have to manually change to full silent. There is no good set and forget silent on lollipop yet

U70%

I like it so much compared to others as it is simple, configurable and has enough information. It is nice to add function to work by keyword in calendar if it's possible as app in the market which I tested no so good. May be situation has been changed. Thank you for your work.

I love the ease of setting Silent Time and the ability to have multiple set-ups which I can turn on and off as needed. But my exceptions still aren't working. I just sent an e-mail to the developer. I'll see if they can get that part of the program working. I have my 3 exceptions set to all, but no calls get through. One is my 86 year old mother, so for me it is critical this is fixed.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge __ Donated because this is a clean ap that has never let me down. Use it twice a week to put my phone (and my parents phones and my tablet) on vibrate because I don't want people to hear my ring tone! Saves you being that guy that didn't silence his phone!

C70%
by C####:

Always loved this app. Create schedules for work and play when you don't want the phone to ring and never worry about turning the ringer on. Unfortunately the quiet now widget has stopped working on my new galaxy s5 and because of this I have given it 3 from an otherwise great 5 star app. Please fix if you are still alive/care

Instead of turning my phone to silent at night it turns notifications on loud and vibrate. Tried to fix it but every time I go into the app my phone is turned back to loud again. Does not do what it promised. Don't waste your time. Only happened when I upgraded to the new android.

To those saying it's your handset's fault it doesn't work: solving bugs is not the user's responsibility. This app doesn't silence anything in my phone except for alarms, which are exactly the only sounds which I don't need silenced. Now I'm late for work and couldn't sleep at all because of all the notifications. Uninstalling.

C70%
by C####:

Only problem found is it works great on KitKat but on Lollypop the quick quiet fails to trigger. Only workaround is to create a scheduled event from run from current time to some end time to trigger mute instead. Even a minor upgrade the other day to 5.0.1 has not cured this.

For the life of me, I cannot figure out why it sometimes allows notifications to play sounds. I tried it with and without the "allow notifications" option, and my phone still announces to me that I need to head to my next class in the middle of my other class.

As with all computer industries, in order to justify employees they gotta keep screwing things up, work on the bugs, get them ironed out, repeat. This app worked flawlessly until my phone self updated the android system last week. Now it don't work at all. Came back here, saw this slightly newer app, uninstalled the old, installed the new - NODDA. 11:30 p.m. and my dang kids texts still ringing in loud and clear as I try to get to sleep.

This is the app you forget you're using, but it is sooooo beneficial. I don't miss calls because I forgot to turn my volume back on after work, and I my phone won't ring or vibrate embarrassingly when I need it not to. Brilliant.

I used to live this app, but now the exceptions list doesn't work. Lost a couple of stars for that. If you don't need exceptions then this is still a good app.

I have missed some severe weather alerts at night and wish it would be possible to give an exception to my weather app.

Reliably turns my ringer off at midnight and turns it back on at 6:30 every day. Some spammers tried to call me at 5am last night while the phone was next to my head. SIlent Time made sure they didn't wake me up.

My kids have to have ringer off in school but forget to turn it back up afterwards so I can call them when it's time for dinner and homework! Haven't even actually tried it yet but have been looking for a solution to this problem. Last night was the final straw when I called my oldest countless times and he didn't have the ringer on (after school) while he was at the park. Looking forward to fixing this problem when I install on both of their phones tonight! Thank You!

This app makes my life easier than any other utility app on my phone. Excellent for college students. Set up silent times for classes and work, and never have to worry about being "that guy" whose phone goes off during lecture.

T70%
by T####:

The app used to work well for me, but now it puts my phone into vibrate mode rather than silent, despite not having the vibrate box checked. I'll retry the timeriffic app. Unfortunately, the built in do not disturb function of my Note 4 with Lollipop does not allow different schedules for different days, otherwise I would use that.
