Protofy (Early Access)

All early access sales will go to development. Please note that Protofy is a development tool and should not be used unless you are an android developer or UI designer.

With Protofy, you will be able to create your app’s layout using control systems to modify the look and feel of your design, without writing a single line of code! The edge menu system will allow you to select control systems without losing sight of your main layout. This makes it easy to find the select view that you’re currently editing.

Programming on a mobile device can be daunting and time-consuming. Wouldn’t it be great if you could create your own app UI without writing a single line of code? With Protofy, you can. Within minutes you can design a UI prototype anywhere and anytime with just a few clicks. We will handle generating the code and placing it somewhere that’s easily accessible, so you don’t have to. Taking it a step farther is that you can see your layout running in real-time on your device, so you know it’ll work!

Protofy’s layout AI will intelligently analyze your plan to detect conflicts and will add and remove layout parameters depending on your selection. It will also alert you when a particular layout option places a view off the screen making sure your views stay on the screen at all times.

What about Android fragmentation? Protofy extends built in Android layout commands making sure your design will scale across every screen size on any device. You do not need to import any third-party libraries, all designs generated with Protofy will work out of the box. All you have to do is copy the file from your device to your work environment; it’s that easy!

The current control systems included in early access are as follows:

A views Text/Hint
A views Text Size
Font/Emphasis
Line Spacing
Color and Alpha
A views padding
Positioning a view in relation to its parent view
Positioning a view in relation to its parent-child views
A views margins
Layout Wrapping to define how a view is displayed (wrap_content, match_parent, etc.)
Removing the view from parent
Removing individual layout parameters from a view
Generate XML file for layout

The current build supports adding TextViews, Buttons, and EditTexts to layouts with more views coming very soon!

No signal? No problem. Protofy was engineered from the very beginning to be used offline. This means all of our algorithms and AI are running locally on the device in real-time. We wanted Developers not to feel limited in where they could design a new layout. For example: If you are flying to a conference, but the plane does not have Internet access, you can still prototype a design for your team or client back home.
