The house is one of the buildings that made a place to stay for a certain period of time. Homes can be human and animal dwellings, but for residential terms that are specific to animals are cages, nests, or enclosures. In a special sense, the house refers to societal concepts that are entwined in residential buildings, such as family, living, eating, sleeping, activities, and others.

In recent years, the trend of home design that was built in Indonesia leads to a minimalist home design. The word minimalist home design more often heard especially for the observers of building design, especially for home design. It's just not everyone knows what is meant by (home) minimalist design. Actually there are several meanings, understanding or definition of the minimalist design. Among them there is a mention of a minimalist architectural style is an architectural style that displays elements as necessary, as simple as possible but elegant.

EXTERIOR
- Having a clear geometric shape and line. Usually dominated by vertical / horizontal line reinforcement.
- Wide openings, wide windows provide a more outward view.
- Landscape arrangement is also minimalist, the use of large plants only as a vocal point only.
- The roof is flat or almost flat.

INTERIOR
- Space more open / minimize wall insulation.
- Interior ornaments such as the use of cornices, ornaments carving not applied.
- Furniture more simple, firm, plain (not carved). To avoid the impression of monotonous, usually using light games (artificial / natural) to get dramatic effect, color game (2-3 colors) is also applied.
