Initial feelings from the app were very negative (due to losing thousands of offline articles i had been saving up for future) and that still is the reason I can't bring myself to give more than 3 stars. Now if you're a new user (or I'd ignore the lost articles) the new app is really good. It runs amazingly, it's VERY smooth. It looks nice and the connection between the website and the app is almost seamless. The 2 lost stars don't go to the developer though since I'm sure he/she is just a freelancer who did a great job with the application, but Physorg who utterly failed to find out what their users appreciated.

No access to further sections after subscribing, only 'Spotlight'. Poor, I was happy to pat £0.99 a month as I love the site, but no point in paying if there's no benefit. Sub cancelled. Shame.

Awesome website, but for those (like me) who bought the full app for ad-free full access, we might as well not have bothered. The old app is dead and now the new app forces users to purchase a monthly subscription despite having paid outright for full app access. Same story with sister app MedicalXpress. A *really* bad way to treat customers! How do I get my full access back? Otherwise I want my money back.

I'm also peeved that my favorite news app suddenly changed their business model from buying a single paid app to a subscription but I understand that the site has to meet the bills somehow. After subscribing I had to reinstall the app to get full site access to work but overall this is an improvement to the old paid app.

Used to love this app, i paid for the add free app a couple of years ago. I've just reinstalled it on my new phone and they want a monthly sub fee, i feel like i was robbed of my initial purchase as i now have nothing to show for it. Poor show

I would like a reimbursement of the money i paid for the no add app last year. Feel ripped off

Subscribing gives no benefit. Since the update the app is terrible. The original app was simple but at least it worked.

Don't bother, just use the web site, after using this app I'll no longer disable my adblocker on your website

I have not looked at the app for a long time, now it is a waste of your time as it restricts your reading and access to sections - go back to the web sites.

old versions with all categories stopped working, seen this version on my tv box not worth the data to dl it. try google search.

False advertising. Paying doesnt get you more content

This app gives good stories which are well referenced. Good read.

I recommend that you include a dark theme for the app

I hope this app is work in progress.Please update this app!! The old app allowed you to step through the new articles loading the pictures and then you could read them offline. The new app doesn't even seem to store the text for offline reading Initially I was so excited about the new look app I paid the subscription and now I am wondering whether to cancel because offline mobile reading on my commute is mostly what I do.

Many such people is unable even to pay that meagre amount,so pl.push current daily discovery news less in number if not all ten to those wizard for study.

Used to be my favorite app before the update. Now I wont use it anymore. Can't look at more than a days worth of articles. Defeats the purpose for me.

Was a firm favourite. New version looks shiny, but lacks substance. And is not working at the moment due to http 500 errors. Direct access via web browser works though. Am disappointed.

Lemme guess, profit margins were too low? Thanks for the major limitations. This WAS one of my favorite apps. Fn boo!!!

This used to be a great app, absolutely hate the update

Used to be good, now have access to fewer articles because they want you to subscribe.

I loved this app the last update destroyed it. If something is working why try to fix it. Will uninstall.

I'll just read the articles for free on their website! Lol

UPDATE STOPPED WORKING ALL TOGETHER (error msg "invalid index 0, size is 0") I've subscribed and still only got spotlight news. Articles don't seem to cache so you can't access them when your offline which was a brilliant feature of the old app. I'm really not sure what I've gained for my 99p

I want to use this app but the font is way too big. Yes I have adjusted it in settings to small but that is still much too big.

Pretty sneaky Physorg. Uninstall. I payed for their original app. Now they want more. Not from me.

The site is is one of the best science news sources on the web, but the app is poorly designed, the font sizes are huge, and the interface is suited purely for phones, not tablets.

I get that they need to add accessibility options for some of their audience, but I'd like to have the text displayed as small or normal. When I tried to change this setting, I noticed that the smallest size still only displays 2 article descriptions max. Also the option to browse leads me to a completely irrelevant request to pay for the app in order to comment on articles.

Added a pity-point because it does actually display articles, but still uninstalling this POS.

Very nice apps, i learn so much about science..

Massive font. Cant click browse by topic, says "to comment buy the app." Which is not what i just did. Lame lame app.
