ElProp determines the physical and chemical properties of a cryolite electrolyte. The so called Hall-Héroult process uses this electrolyte to produce aluminum by an electrolytic smelting process. With this Hall-Héroult process about 40 mio metric tonnes of aluminum are produced every year worldwide.
