Kudos Mobile Pro for Android
Works good for my business. The app does hang some times.The card reader works as long as I have the settings right and volume high enough, occasionally I do need to swipe the card backwards to get them to read.
I like using Kudos and I enter the transactions manually. I bough the swiper for $99, months ago and it NEVER worked. I tried so many times, on different phones and tablets, I should get paid for wasting my time! I contacted the Kudos support and sales departments numerous time, but still nothing. I guess, they would like me to buy a new one.... Hopefully they will return my calls, one day.
Update: With help from Kudos staff we discovered that the settings on the app needed to be changed. Once the update was done so that the device was set for the 'ACRambler' transactions were possible. This app isn't working on mySamsung Galaxy Tab2 10.1. The application recognized the 'slice' when I insert it into the ear phone jack. However, it has problems reading the cards I've tried. This is what happens: with volume turned up, I insert the slice. The message at the top of the screen says: "powering up device". It then changes to 'swipe card now". When I swipe the card, I get this message: "decoding card" - then I get one of two messages: Bad Swipe, please try again, (decode unexpected error) OR the messages says, "Bad Swipe, please try again." The slice works fine, with the same credit card on the Ipad2. Can you help me figure out what is happening. I would very much appreciate it.
Works fine in my old HTC Legend (Android 2.2) and my new Galaxy Note 2 (Android 4.1 Jellybean)

Works on both my iPad and my nexus 4 and works when I am in the US. The square doesn't. I've had good support when needed most of the time; weekends are not good
