This app is still under Beta Phase. This is an Nepali Version of OCR(Optical Character Reader) which runs the Tesseract 3.02 Open Source OCR Engine. This app captures or upload an image which contains only plain Neplai text and then converts that image into editable format text.
USING THIS APP
Go to start and press the camera Button.
Either select Take Photo or upload from the gallery.
If you select take a photo then You open the Camera app then you can click the picture . make sure that the image is of low size for faster processing and the image should be clear.
Wait for some time and after sometime you get the output text and the editable format of it.
If you select choose from the gallery . the gallery of your mobile will open and then u can choose an text image. After that the process is same.
There are some sample images as well to try .
We have Developed this app for our final year project of BSc(CSIT), Tribhuwan University from St. Xavier’s College.

I a decent and practical app for recognizing Nepali character. Well this app could be integrated for many system. Guys good work !!

Overall a good app but these are few of the things I noticed that you can improve on. 1. The size of 17 MB is too big, should not exceed 5MB. 2. The background picture resolution is too low. Try to use a higher resolution and not stretched. 3. The text is way hard to read. Never ever use black fonts in red background, never, try white. 4. Instructions are good, but very blurry. 5. Try putting website link in About section where they can see all 3 developers profile for more info with pictures.
