Q: Why does the music stop playing when the screen goes dark?
A: There are several possible explanations for why this is happening. Many devices have built-in power saving settings (ex. Doze mode) that can cause disruptions in online streaming. Additionally, wifi settings need to be set to stay on when the device falls asleep. Q: Why is the music skipping?
A: When songs are skipping, it is often because 1) that station's server has recently been reset or 2) the internet isn't filling the audio buffer fast enough. Usually these issues are resolved with faster internet, changing the wifi settings on your device, or they resolve on their own after the server resets.
Q: Where can I find these stations online?
A: Follow the link to the MadCalfApps.blogspot.com page in the app.
Q: Why is the app not working on my device?
A: Unfortunately, Free Talk Radio doesn't support all devices and operating systems. This is the main reason we have decided to bring this app to you totally FREE! Try it out to see if we are coming in loud and clear, "Nothing ventured nothing gained." We are adding support for new devices all the time.
Q: Why are some stations blank at times?
A: Some of these stations are controlled by real DJs and if they aren't playing anything at the time or their site is down no music will play. Fortunately we have over 70 Channels so you will always have a lot to choose from.

Ive never given 5 stars. Great app. Low amount of permissions (no personal identity). Ads dont interfere and it works in the background. It does crash sometimes when in background, but Im always using some other app at the same time, so it's probably my fault. 5 stars. Thank you for a great app.

Almost great. I can't understand having an app that has no settings (can't adjust how long it will play before pausing, can't make a favorites list) or any way to close it. The icon just stays in my notification bar and cannot be removed. Drives me nuts. The app functions well, though. I probably won't keep it, however, because of not being able to close it.

Got the app so I can listen to talk radio because my AM stations are weak in my area. Found this station I like. Whenever I try and close app it stays alive unless I go into settings and kill it. Otherwise works as described

Stops playing multiple times a day for no reason. Always having to get my phone out at work to push play again and again, obviously making me look like I'm playing with my phone all the time. Updated to 4 stars since devs take the time to reply. Android version 5.0.1, don't think it's very new, and I don't listen while connected to wifi. It just stops randomly. Could be anywhere from 1 to maybe 7 or 8 times in an 8 hour shift. Also had an issue where the stream keeps playing if you hit stop, and trying another stream just plays over it. Also i have to force-close it quite often as it won't close on it's own every time.

I like talk radio. Talk radio is meant to be listened to for hours. Not for 10 minutes. I had to close the app, restart it, find mychannel again, only to do it again 10 minutes later. Dud. I was happy to find my genre but I can't justify spending 5 minutes on my phone finding my channel only to do it again in 10 minutes. I have things to do.

I'd love it if it could at least restart itself. EDIT: I mean when leaving wi-fi to 4G, or other signal change. Another radio app I use can handle the change and keep streaming.

Flawless radio listening. No matter what your in the mood for......news to old time radio shows. You can find it here. But recently (4/1/17) it stops after maybe 10 to 15 minutes and you have to restart it. Every now and then it will play for several hours uninterrupted. I only listen to 3 or 4 stations so I dunno if all the others are the same or not. It's still very much worth it tho!!!!! I love the old crime dramas or shows. Thanx devs :)
