xWeather Complete for Android
Makes assumptions about size leading to text overflowing their containers. Noticed on a G-Slate.
Ui midsummer elements, shows wrong location.
Asks to bookmark every time you open. Even if same location. Graphics not as sharp as they should be.
The program crashes after showing the splash screen.
The icons are too tiny and the location search won't ever find any cities. This is OK if you live in NYC, but everyone else is out of luck.
Nice design, but app useless if your location not NY
Looks WAY better than the Accuweather app for tablets. I think it pulls information from the same source, too. There are no options to change, which I would like to see. Mine has no problem quickly zeroing in on my GPS location (ASUS TF101) -- but every time iit launches it asks if you want to bookmark the location. I'd like to see that changed (workaround is to let it run in background rather than backing out of it). Nice radar, forecast, clean look. Just a few tweaks and I can easily up it to 4 or 5 stars. Plus, it's free!
This app will not allow me to set my location and is stuck on New York and none of the items you should be able to view, will work when you tap on them. I have written to the supposedly "Christian" developer multiple times and have not received any response at all! My emails have been completely ignored! This is a real, true shame, because it looks like it would be one really awesome weather app!
Would be a great appy if I could set my location. Nice look, lousy execution. Fix it or forget it.
This app would be the best weather app if it would find locations or find them more quikly. I rate 5 stars when search is fixed
Samsung Tab 2. UI needs update multiple button presses to gain result, search produces no results. Otherwise lots of information on one page, a good presentation when it works.
Rubbish only shows new york
It's good, but no widgets.
Good application.
Search doesn't work, so you won't be able to change your location. It seems like nothing is working on this app. It's fancy but, had to uninstall it after wasting with it about 1 hour or more. So don't bother. I would give it - 2 (minus two) stars if I could.
Very detailed weather shows potential but needs bigger selection buttons and the location search needs fixing. Asus Transformer.
I love the appearance of the application, but on my wifi only xoom a few of the functions do not appear to be working correctly. Such as the search and the hourly temperature graph. Also everytime I start the app it asks if I want to bookmark this location, this can be annoying when I have already bookmarked this location. Still giving it 4 stars and the layout is supurb.
One screen all the info you need about current conditions. Surprised more people haven't installed and reviewed this one. One request is a decent widget. Not one good weather widget out there for Honeycomb yet.
Tried this on an Asus Transformer. Great utilization of huge screen, and lots of potential for the future, as others have said. Haven't hit any force closes yet, but quite a few quirks. Most buttons are too small / hard to press. Basic Android conventions such as Menu button or Search button on onscreen keyboard aren't followed. The search function does nothing, and nor do the "Averages - Temperature by Hours" or Webcam displays. Radar and IR maps show the wrong locations (and don't even match each other).
This is the weather app I've been waiting for for my Xoom. Lots of information, nice user interface, easy to use. My one request would be a widget, but as it is, this is the best weather app for Android tablets! Great job dev!
Great little app making good use of the Xoom's real-estate. Only issue I've noticed so far on mine is that the High and Low temperature readings in the top left of the screen are mixed up. For example, today's High is 19C, Low is 8C but they are the wrong way round on the app. It says High 8, Low 19. In a future release I would like to customise outputs. i.e. when using Celsius output the barometer reading is millibars which I like but the visibility is in km which I don't. Promising looking app.
I can't get it to default to my location -- yet. The information and layout are excellent. The controls are buggy and don't respond well, if at all. I'll keep it and hope updates cure the problems.
Provides lots of info on one beautiful screen.
Controls are a flakey, ie: "X" doesn't close windows, back button does. Radar photos don't center over location (skewed north).
Sluggish, unintuitive - unable to look up locations.
From the comments below, this app seems to work fine on other XOOMs. However, it is force closing on Canadian market Wi-Fi XOOMs (MZ604).
