Safe Manipulation aid is a GUI based alternative to using graph paper to measure imperfections in safe wheels.
This app will run fine on android phones but will be great on the larger displays of tablets.This app will run on all known android devices running anything after 2.2 because this program is as simple as i could keep it.
This app will not teach you how to manipulate safe dials open because it is assumed you already know how. The app does not allow you to save works in progress . YOU WILL LOSE ALL PROGRESS IF YOU USE THE BACK BUTTON YOUR DEVICE while at the data entry activity. The reason is that this activity is a small part of a much larger piece of software that will come to market in the very distant future if ever at all. Because of these limitations I am selling this at deep discount.
Left and right contact is represented by 2 sliders for each number. There are in increments of 28 so no matter how large you amplify your readings you should have ample room on both sides of your readings.
I have included the half numbers where certain methods of manipulation would expect them to be.
When you are done recording your contact points you graph it and are taken to the Graph activity.
The graph activity consists of two components , first of which is a scrolling view of the index with the sum of distance between left and right contact. The second part is the actual graph that will express the surface profile of the wheel as a flat bar chart . spots exposed by the process will be obvious on the graph and can be further refined by determining the point via the index list. You can go back to the input mode via the #1 input button and magnify interesting spots.

The numbers need to go up and down in 1/10s and the contact width is just adding the 2 contacts together instead of telling you the difference between the two contacts.

I am pretty new at this so please excuse me if my lack of experience is apparent. My first use of this app was on an S&G 6741, I soon realized that the only numbers I could input were whole numbers whereas to accurately gauge the readings I need to go down to as low as 1/8 of each number. Perhaps if the user could narrow the range of the contact points, such as + or - 5 of the first reading of the left and right contacts. Then allow for a more detailed input on the sliders, such as down to 1/8th.

It's good but i wish you could use the alphabet instead of numbers. My safe is lettered.
