MARA3D Human Anatomy Lite

This is a really good app for artists who need some anatomy reference on the go. I would really like to see either posable models OR the ability to select a good amount of pre-posed models in a wide assortment of popular poses

Decent reference app. The model has a reasonable resolution. My complaint would be that the 'real time' light control isn't really what it is. A lot of the shadows are baked so the light you have real control over is pretty much an 'overlay'. So you can't rely on the quality of the shadow, shading wise. It is simply a representation of how the shadow will fall on the surface (not saying that this isn't useful). If it had real shadows then I would've bought the pro version for that feature alone. Otherwise the model is pretty decent, if not entirely accurate. The lower leg muscles feel a little weird and the back of the torso seems to be missing some muscles- not a big complaint though. I use this along with Scott Eaton's L'Ecorche app (which is a more accurate app, but no light control), which is also fantastic. Also rotating / zooming is extremely slow on my device, its annoying. Slow as in speed of rotation etc - not the actual performance of the app, which is good. I'm using this on a 10.1 tab.

Upper left is just a save button. Hold upper right, lower left and lower right for options. Double tap the lower left button to switch genders and double tap lower right button to reset camera. You can find a guide on the way. I don't need a tutorial to find out.

Would be perfect if added movements to the bodies. Still awesome for drawing and models nonetheless.

I can zoom and rotate, but the controls in the corners of the app do not work.

It says 2 models but i only had one, a male model no female.

Laggy on my tablet. UI is also terrible. And I know it's the lite version but at least ONE different pose from just standing there would have been nice. Not enough here to tempt me to pay money for the full version.

Don't know how to use female model

It is a nice app considering it is free but the app is quite slow. Love the lighting feature on it.

Impossible to navigate once you try and change anything. Doesn't fit the screen, unresponsive controlls

I like it. Shows the muscular system and everything. But how do I get the female model on it? It's good though.

App won't save. I can't zoom into specific parts of the anatomy without changing the angle and perspective. All it does is zoom in on the guys junk.

How the HECK do I get to the female model?????

You can't change the model. Not very user friendly.

It's okay if you're a newby, to understand the overall muscles. However, since the models are just standing and you can't make them to pose, it's a one-time apps which you can easily delete after you understand the anatomy. Besides, the male, for modest reason, don't have the genital. Well, at least he has more muscle than Barbie's Ken.

A really beautiful app for figure-perspective studies. In order to change the image from MALE to FEMALE just DOUBLE-TAP the BOTTOM-LEFT icon (CUBOIDAL/HEXAGONAL). :-)

But I can't zoom to the face?

No posability at all. Just 4 static models. Good for referencing proportions, but that's about it.

Where is the teres major? This is one of the more visible muscles of the back. The accuracy in general must be better. In general could be better.

Great app, lots of camera options and adjustable lighting. If it had posing options I would pay good money for this!

I downloaded this lite version to try before buying the full version. The model lookx nice and all, but it cant be posed. I need posability, so I wont be buying the full version. Sorry.

Used to love this app, went for it for all my anatomy needs. The controls and freezing bugs ruined it though. Oh well, back to Google.

Where is the female model? Would be five stars otherwise.

I'll gladly pay to be able to pose the model and / or more poses. Good looking model also looking forward to future updates !
