Lorex Mobile-Edge

App will not work on newer Android phones. You can't edit any connections. I'm assuming because of display. It will work on my Android LG tablet but not G3 phone. Lorex has the worst customer support I've ever encountered.

Worked a couple years ago on Android, then sporadically worked, now it never connects, ever. Iphone sitting right next to Android phone connects every time. Why would Lorex alienate Android users as they have more market share overall than iPhone? Look at the ratings here...

I have had Lorex DVR and cameras for a while but their software has the trademarks of a high school project and this app does not disappoint this statement. Now, it does not work properly with Android 6. Time for a whole new system and company as I am expecting no updates or professional-looking GUI's on ANY of their products.

Android version does not work anymore. With several limitations and needs to modernize its features, it worked before. But now this latest "update" suçks!!

This app did work at one time but with bugs. Now it does not work at all! They need to update this app on android and apple!

Apparently if you have a NEW Android device that uses VER 6.0 Turbo (not sure whats up with the version thing), when you install Mobile Edge, you cannot edit the device list. What I did was copy the ADDRESS BOOK DB and ADDRESS BOOK JOURNAL DB to my pc from the OLD device and then copied it to the NEW PHONE Lorex mobile Edge directory and opened the app. Go to device list and make sure its there and launch program. It should work. I cannot however use the playback feature. That one I'm still working on. 10/13/2016

Will not connect to 348 series DVR In wifi or data mode.

Crashes whenever I try to playback recorded video.

Lowes mobile edge does not work with marshmallow.

This app doesn't allow you the ability to add your device information at all. It shows one blank spot but it isn't even close to where it needs to be, nor are there enough. And don't even bother trying to contact Lorex about it. They could care less that you're having problems. They already have your money.

Having the same problem as others. Droid turbo 2 will not accept any address entries. Can no longer connect. Hey lorex, how about an update.

Don't work at all anymore!!!!!

We just upgraded our business phones to Droid Turbo 2 with Android 6.0. This app worked perfectly on our old Droid Turbo phones with Android 5.1. With the new phones, you cannot create new address book entries because it will not let you type anything into the information fields. The only way to get this app to (somewhat) work on the Turbo 2's, we had to copy the address book files from the old phones and import them into the LorexMobileEdge folder on the new phones (we had to reboot the phones to get them to work). Now we are able to view existing entries in the address book, but there is no way to create new entries. We need all features of this app to work properly, or we will not be able to install any more Lorex Edge systems. Please send out a fix for Android 6.0 ASAP!!!!

Loved this for managing staff remotely - now every time I try to sign on it says Network Failed. Have auto updates still doesn't work.

Still plays live stream, but adjusting time in playback immediately force closes. Our phones automatically update periodically, and your software should be updated as well. If I have to update my DVR to get playback functionality back, you can bet it won't be another Lorex product.

No issues. Phone runs Lollipop 5.1.1 Good app in case I need to check our home remotely. Thanks, Lorex.

Playback feature don't work! The app crashes as soon as you open the playback option causing whole app to close itself! Please fix!!!

Apparently this app no longer works on Android phones. Used to work, but after Android updates it no longer connects. Lorex seems to have stopped supporting the app as it has been non-functional for many months.

Works well on a S6 but won't connect I my Note 5

Reinstalled app after a while of not using it. Lost ability to play back surveillance video. Only able to see live footage. Apparently I am not alone. Also hate only being able to see one camera at a time. Please fix this.

Under the new android kit-kat update, app will crash when selecting date for playback. Please fix - RAZR maxx HD. FIX OR START REFUNDING - I PAID FOR THIS DEVICE FOR THIS FEATURE. IF YOU CANT PROVIDE, PAY UP!!!!

App works good on RAZR Maxx, but playback of video on Nexus 7 crashes every time.

I am able to view my cameras remotely but when I attempt to playback, the app crashes. FIX LOREX! This type of experience will never see repeat buyers.

Very old update, preview is so simple and it crashes on playback, needs a fix !!

I've had the app working for several months now. I just received a push upgrade today, and it no longer works. I verified all settings, and made sure my external IP did not change (should not matter anyway because of the DDNS service Lorex offers). I can work around quirks. But in this case, I no longer have anything to work around. As far I an tell, there's no good way to revert to the previous version. Update 4-2-13. Still nothing from Lorex on why this app stopped working after the update. I have confirmed it works on older Android versions, but not the latest one. I have asked them if they could just confirm there is a problem so that we know they're working on it. All I get it "Upgrade the software on your DVR". The problem with that is they told me to upgrade my 16 channel with the 8 channel software. In install documentation it clearly states the 8 channel software is not for the 16 channel. I was up struggling with whether to go with Swann or Lorex. I would definitely suggest people look around before buying Lorex. 4-9-13 Update. I convinced Lorex I know what I'm talking about. They have now acknowledged the problem and sent it to development.

This new version will not allow me to view my system. It wont even connect

I generally don't have much of problem connecting, but my biggest complaint is the size of the buttons in replay mode. If we all had a stylus they would be fine, but using a finger that potentially covers 5 different buttons is not an accurate way of doing things.
