Metar Widget Donate is a simple app that allows you to check METARs in a blink right from your homescreen.
Features of Metar Widget Donate:

- METARs from your favorite airport on homescreen
- quick access to latest METARS and TAFs from widget
- quick access to aviation weather website from METARs/TAFs list
PLUS :
- 2 extra widgets (4x2 and 4x1) displaying raw metar data ( Simple and Tiny widget).
- choose your own widget background/text color and transparency.
- 4 different prest widget backgrounds to choose from
- Save up to 5 airports to browse through on widget
- access PIREPs right from widget
- 5 different list colors
- possibility to search for airfields/airports offering METARs within 50NM of the airfield/airport of your choice.
Installation:
!! depending on your Android version and/or launcher :
- download and install
- long press on homescreen -> add widget->Metar Widget
OR
-go to app drawer -> select widget on top of screen->scroll to Metar Widget->long press to add to homescreen

Great service from owner. It had stopped working so I emailed the app creator. I got a quick response and the app was fix to its awesome working condition again. He also let me know when it was back up again. This is hands down my favorite metar app. It's clean, simple, and easy to use.

It would have been a great widget if it weren't for the numerous issues with it. The latest METAR for one airport is displayed with no problems, but when I click on arrows to scroll through airfields, or click on METAR/TAF for expanded view, I get a blank page and a message that the widget had stopped working. If I do it again after that, it works. However, all that takes me way longer than just checking the aviation weather website, so I think I'll be uninstalling this pretty soon.

Nice app especially for free. It displays the latest metar in a nice simple widget on your home screen. Things I would like to see improved: it doesn't always update to the latest metar, I often have to do it manually. I would like to be able to just click the metar widget and have it go straight to the TAF, instead of the two clicks it takes. Thank you for this free simple app.
