Simple Envelopes is a budgeting tool. Everyone has heard of the envelope technique for budgeting. When you get paid you put some cash in an envelope, say for FOOD. Then when you go out to eat, you would take some cash out of the envelope. The problem is, it is hard to know how much money you have in the envelope quickly. You could balance the envelope like a checkbook, but that is tedious.
Most men don’t carry anything other than a wallet, which doesn't do well with envelopes. A great technique that can be used is just carry cash with you and save your receipts. Then you need to go through them all and update the envelopes.
Simple Envelopes does this for you. You create an envelope and either Deposit or Withdraw funds. There isn't any logging in to the app, or into some fancy cloud based service. You don’t need to know how when you will be filling the envelope back up, or how fast you’re depleting your funds. You just want to put money in and take money out. Simple.

**appears to be a zombie app, dev may have abandoned it.** Abandoned or not, I love the app. Needs a few tweaks. Freezes on first opening, but it corrects its self (samsung s5). Needs recent history, I can't remember what I did or didn't log in. Please add long hold options on main screen.

I love the simplicity. It does what I need it to do without a lot of clutter. I like the transfer feature. Would love to be able to keep track of entries, though.

Don't waste your money ! The entry pad is a telephone dial pad !? Can't enter dollars & cents . This thing is a real rip off. I want my money BACK .

Developer did a wonderful job on this. Not only is it easy to use, it is not overpriced. I expect to have an easier job of tracking my budget. I've tried other similar apps and they either did not work as promised, or were very complex.
