About EvBatMon for Outlander PHEV

Passionate about getting the most out of your PHEV?
Want to know what’s going on inside the battery and e-motors?
Only want to use petrol when absolutely necessary?
Then you need our EvBatMon app!
* Access ALL the internal information on your PHEV in a simple to use App!
* PureEV mode provides warning and alarm beeps so you can keep your eye on the road instead of glancing at the power gauge.
* Track the health of your Li-Ion battery over time and distance, and compare your EV to others of the same model. See http://www.evpositive.com/battery-history.html for more details.

EvBatMon needs a Bluetooth or WiFi OBD adaptor (check our list of recommendations at http://www.evpositive.com/evbatmon-for-phev.html#OBD ). While you’re waiting for the adaptor, you can experiment with Emulation mode to play and preconfigure EvBatMon without a connection to your PHEV.
EvBatMon comes preconfigured with a range of screens however you can customise everything like gauge size, type (number, dial, LED bar, histogram etc), position and colour.
If you have any problems or suggestions let us know because we want you to love EvBatMon as much as your PHEV. We’re passionate about getting the most out of our (and your!) PHEV, so we have many new features under development!

Coming soon : Mitsubishi iMiEV and Nissan Leaf versions.

Got the right hardware as recommended by a forum member that has this working. My phone will connect and work with Torque Pro, but not this app. Got a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and android 6.x

I owned two OBD2 adapters off the compatible list. One the Jaycar wifi and the other from an eBay link on the recommended list. The latter works with Torque etc but never with EVBatMon. I finally have the Jaycar one working once. I didn't do anything but restart the app and it finally switched across to wifi instead of running in default demo mode.

Does what I really wanted it to do, which is to track individual cell health and overall battery performance. Another EV I have has had a couple of cells fail so I think it's worth checking.

Great work. Awesome app.

Only obstacle is that there is no natural way to turn of the app after using it. Sometimes i loose my added gauges.

This app deserves full 5 stars, if not only for the fact that it is the only off-the-shelf app that targets (the non standard OBDII PIDs of) the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. For starters, it will reveal the primary battery health indicator (Ah), without the need for visiting your dealer or waiting for the next service. But it will tell you much more, not only about the battery (individual cell voltages, SOC in a much higher granularity than the dashboard will tell you, etc.) but also about various other EV components, such as Front E-motor, Rear E-motor and Generator. The information available through this app will allow you to assess, for example, the effect of various regen brake levels, much better than the dashboard of the car will. As a bonus, you can set up an audible alarm (in case you think the car does not have enough audible alarms as is ;-)) that will sound when you are about to pass the power threshold that will cause the engine to start up. This should allow you to achieve a better EV driving percentage. All together, a must have for those who really want to know what goes on in their cars.

A must have add on for any driver of an Outlander PHEV. No more guessing about the battery health. Will empower the PHEV owner confidence in battery performance as their car ages. Many more tools that a driver will find useful that are lacking on the factory supplied SUV.

Well.. it is the ONLY one, apparently. I would say "it just works" to borrow a phrase from somewhere else........

Great app which is a nice complement to torque if you want to keep track of your battery status in your Outlander PHEV.
