DI”-is an android application that provides well established, accurate and latest information about the drugs to the user in the minimal time span.
The application was developed by KVL Healthtech and was running by Shri Vishnu College Of Pharmacy drug information centre. Since 2013, Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy was running the center by having top journals and databases in its hands. In recognition of the excellence of its educational standards, the shri Vishnu college of pharmacy has been accredited by the NBA,AICTE.,New Delhi.
Drug information is an key to obtain best results out of treatment. Today in the present world new formulations are developing day by day. so it is necessary to update the knowledge with well established information. Update of information is required not only to the physicians who provide treatment but also to the patients or caretakers who take the treatment.
The center had its own steps and strategies in answering a query in order to provide accurate information with I’ll references.
Some of the examples of queries are like newly approved drugs, kinetics of a drug ,indications, contraindications, interactions in poly-pharmacy, special population doses & indication, dosage adjustments, drug dosage calculation, black box indications and such many more….
How the queries are answered:
Step 1: The query received in the mail is scrutinized by the chief clinical pharmacist and will forword to different admins
Step 2: Admins based on the work pressure replies to chief pharmacist with in 8 hours
Step 3 : The clinical pharmacist once review the response from admin and forward the answer to the user
